Beckettâs Burger Bar, in downtown Bowling Green, is a family-owned business that caters to both the college and the community. George and Amy Strata purchased the business in 2007 and, in 2012, George's parents, George and Phina, joined them in ownership.
Went on a Saturday at 2pm. Waited 10 minutes before the waitress even said hello. Another 45 minutes for our food to come. Mainly a bunch of bros shooting pool and dropping F Bombs. I get it, itâs a college bar. But it was 2pm and there were families with kids eating too. Burger was tasty. Probably not to Jules Winfield.

The wait was supposed to be 15-20 minutes, and we waited 40 minutes for 2 people. The wait staff had too many tables. So, she could not even get back to us to check on the food that was burnt or the drinks that needed refilled. The chicken wings were badly burnt and tasted horrible. The big screen TV's are nice for watching sports, but I would have preferred nuggets and fries from fast food to the overpriced food. I'd stop again only for a drink with friends. Eat somewhere else if you are hungry.

After reading all the positive reviews for Trotters we were really looking forward to dinner there. Unfortunately the whole experience was one disappointment after another. The first was when I ordered a bourbon and ginger-ale and got a Jack and Coke. The second, which should have been a red flag was when the salads came with dressing with so much vinegar they were almost impossible to eat. Then after waiting 45 min for our steaks while we watched our server drink and carry on at the bar with other servers, the bartender and kitchen staff our dinner arrived. (This was in addition to a very loud drunken birthday celebration two tables away.) What was described as a marinated steak dinner turned into a Trotter's gag fest. The steak, served on a platter soaking in vinegar, was inedible. Reviews for this "house specialty" were so favorable that we can only surmise that vinegar soaked steak must be the Ohio recipe for marinade. It's really too bad that our one night in Bowling Green left us with the sour taste of vinegar in our mouths.

Stopped with family at 4:45 pm on a Saturday afternoon just before the dinner crowd arrived. The place has a nice atmosphere but is not cohesive in design. However, two people in my party ordered the Shepherd's Pie - the waitress said it was one of their most liked Entrees. It was on the top of the entree list so we both ordered it.Waitress came back a few minutes later and told us they only had one serving left. Remember - Saturday almost evening! I was not happy. Ordered some Cider Chicken that was very bland and had no flavor. The portions were good, but that's about it.The other party person said the Shepherd's Pie was very salty and tasted package prepared. We were not impressed with our choice of restaurants in Bowling Green and will not come back.

We waited at the door for quite sometime before anyone even acknowledged us. Wings were good. I asked for a plate to eat off and was denied. Twice. Do they not have plates??

This place seems to be slipping. Service was not good.....friendly but very slow and didn't seem to notice that we had no water and didn't finish wine or Cole slaw (it wasn't very busy but perhaps understaffed?). Wine was awful, food was average. The menu was more interesting in the past and seems to have moved to a burger place. We probably won't return.

So we generally love IPAâs. While Reverendâs had lots of interesting beers on tap, only two IPAâs with both over a 9% alcohol content. Yellowfin taco special was very good but the meatloaf seemed like basically a burger with tomato sauce on top. We were rushed through our meal by our server.

SamB's is a delightfully comfortable place for a meal or drink. The place is lively in the evenings, but quite enough to have a conversation. The burgers were good and the service efficient and friendly. They have a good selection of beers as you would expect. The menu is extensive and includes items such as Scottish salmon as well as local trout. I have the trout and it was excellent. SamB's is a great choice for a meal or drink with friends near BGSU.Dear OldEagle48,First let me thank you for taking time to submit a review about our restaurant to Trip Advisor. We got off the road in Bowling Green, OH for lunch and decided on the Easy Street Café based on the TripAdvisor ratings. And they were not wrong. The lunch was great. High quality food, well prepared, good portions and reasonable price. The atmosphere is vintage and quaint overlooking a nice downtown area. Michelle provided us with excellent service and local advice. We will definitely come back if we pass that way again.

We visited on a very busy Friday during lunch. A very large party arrived early, but were not served until their reservation time. Nice. We were able to be served without waiting. The large reservation was made for after peak time. Having said that, the food and service was excellent..I took advantage of the smaller portion offerings. My only criticism was too much air conditioning.
