Drink Texas -- Spirits and Fun. World's Best Marathon Happy Hour Daily From 2pm till 9pm Boerne's Best Neighborhood Bar.
Used to be a better bar when we first moved to Boerne 5 yrs ago. Since then owners changed and hasn't been the same. Can never keep the same bartender. The non smoking deck has now become the smoking deck and all the smoke comes inside the bar. But unfortunately it's only bar open on Boerne when everything else closed.
Chili's is one of the only 'modern' chain restaurants in Boerne, and most people would agree we need more! The food and the staff at this Chili's have always been above average, and good. If only my wife liked Chili's, I would eat there a whole lot more often. Not as flashy since they redecorated, and removed so much of the 'local' flaired memorabilia hanging on their walls, but the food is still good.
LIVE Music Capital of Boerne! Drink Texas Biergarten is home to great bands and performers. Featuring an excellent selection of craft beers and wine.
This place is centrally located in Old town Boerne. The name is Drink Texas, but be ready for a lot of kids. Some people must enjoy trying to have an adult beverage and a conversation while there are unsupervised, loud children running around, I'm just not one of them.

Stopped by for dinner. Sat at the bar and was served quickly. Bartender was nice and bar area was clean and offered several tv's for entertainment. Food was very good and cooked as requested.
Nine other friends (4 men, 6 women) and I went to the Iron Stag for our first dinner there. Among us, various entrees were chosen and everyone agreed the food was delicious. Favorites were the crab cakes, quail, shrimp brochette, steak and shrimp, fettucini alfredo, and all the salads. We had to get to a theater performance, so we were unable to sample desserts. Next time. The service was very good.

Sauced Wing Bar is a contemporary wing bar. Full bar, great wings with house made sauces, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, draught beer, craft beer, full bar, great wines
We ended up going to Sauced only because it was after 10 and they were about the only place still serving food in Boerne. However, it ended up being a great visit! The staff is really, really fun, even that late at night when they're ready to go home. The food was great! They have a wide range of appetizers from fried veggies to pork rind chip and pico/guac and fried mac and cheese balls, which we really enjoyed! They make 15 sauces and nine rubs, and you can get bone-in, boneless or tenders. We had a great time! Plus, if you're traveling west, it's right off I-10.

Great Burgers, Wings, Steaks, and Salad Bar. Family Friendly Establishment Complete with a Rainbow Systems Playground, Basketball Court, with 3 Patio Decks and plenty of other Outdoor Seating. Where Community Happens.
Welcoming atmosphere with lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and an outdoor play area for the kids. Food always tastes fresh and homemade. Can be a bit pricey, but the servings are large. If you are dining in, pay attention to the signs hanging from the rafters as to which area to sit in based on room temperature.

A place to kick back, meet your neighbors in a family friendly atmosphere, while enjoying house brewed beer, eating fresh pub food.
So, I have been sitting on this review for a few months wanting to be fair and not react in the moment. We visited Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. in April and it is August now.We were in the Texas Hill Country for spring break and wanted to take in some local music while we were there. Texas Swing isn't my thing; but it is local and unique so we picked out a performance by Big Cedar Fever scheduled to take place at the Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. We were staying over an hour away but in a previous stop in Boerne saw the brewery and it looked nice. So we planned to go back to see the band. That afternoon the weather started looking a bit dicey. The weather channel said there would be storms in the area but didn't predict them in the Boerne area until around midnight. I checked the Cibolo Creek Website - no mention of any impact. Called and the person I talked to thought the show was a go. So we hopped in the vehicle and set out. When we arrived we were informed that due to the weather the show had been canceled. Well if the show had been slated to last until 10 or 11 then I might have been able to see the reasoning; but it was to have been over much sooner - 8:30 I think. Still, maybe the band themselves canceled who knows - I didn't ask. And this is where the real problem hit. After the show was canceled apparently the owner or manager sent home a huge portion of their staff (or they were just woefully understaffed in the first place). Because the crowds showed up to see the band that wasn't going to perform. We checked in at the hostess stand and were told we could sit right away but the kitchen was waaay backed up and food would probably take an hour to come out.I was for leaving but was outvoted by companions. So we sat down to have a Cibolo creek beer. Wrong move number 1. Their beer is average. My friend with a home brewing kit has done as well several times. The beer at the Dodging Duck, just down the street is FAR better- BTW.We ordered an appetizer thinking it would come out before the food as a "tide me over". It did - by like 2 minutes. I admit to no longer remembering what we ordered but none of it impressed me at all and in fact at the time I remembered thinking - ugh; we drove an hour then waited nearly an hour for average beer and food!It may have been a combination of bad events - but if I come back to the Texas Hill Country and visit Boerne - and you should it is a really cute town; I will drink at the Dodging Duck and look elsewhere for live music.

The Dodging Duck Brewhaus is located in Boerne, Texas, in the Texas Hill Country. We have an eclectic menu of international and local favorites, from Thai Lettuce Wraps to Chimichurri Grilled Beef Tenderloin to Bratwurst & Sauerkraut. Best of all, we brew
Our luncheon group dined here today. The premises were unpretentious and clean and there was a substantial crowd who certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. We had a pleasant young waiter who made every effort to provide good service. The green tomato appetizer was delicious. The entrees arrived promptly and were attractive and freshly prepared, ranging from Cobb Salad to Bratwurst to Fish and Chips. Everyone thought their entrees were tasty and substantial. We shared a warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream for desert. Highly recommended!
