A traditional little pub serving authentic Nepalese/Indian cuisine all cooked freshly in our own Tandoor clay oven, served Tuesday - Sunday. No juke boxes, pool tables or games machines in our pub, also we have a wonderful large private garden for Summer
Ordered the chicken tikka bites with rice and different types of naan bread, and it was fantastic especially the price. Me and my family come here frequently and itâs a hidden gem. Most curry houses iâve been to are usually expensive and not very special but this place has amazing food ( curries, naanâs etc ) at a cheap price. Thereâs no wifi here but it didnât bother us that much. Staff are quite friendly. Recommend this place to anyone as the food is incredible! Thanks for the review really appreciate it sorry you didnât get the WiFi

Former Bank's Pub which now operates as a Bar/Restaurant. We have a separate bar area if you only fancy coming in for few drinks. The restaurant has a capacity of over 100 covers with a open view live kitchen. We aim to provide a family friendly atmospher
We eat here regularly and the food is amazing really worth the money, but recently we have stopped going in for food and have opted for takeaways instead as there seems to be gangs of people/kids hanging around the entrance drinking and shouting and it's kind of intimidating when you've got kids with you and you have to walk through them all. Hope the management take note and sort this out. That's my only issue. Like I said the food is amazing.

Really hungry after work, decided to walk into town and get something to eat, the pub was empty, asked for a table and the bar staff informed us they were fully booked. Gutted, we just ordered a drink, sat for around an hour and the pub was still dead, will never go again.

Family restaurant, serving fresh home cooked food to order, catering and function room hire for all occasions.
This was a special year for us - birthdays covering 90, 60 and 16 and a 30th wedding anniversary - so we decided to have one big party. From the start of the process to the end of the party, the staff at Churchillâs were friendly, helpful and patient with us. The decorations in the room were lovely and the food, both hot and cold, was plentiful and delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening and I wouldnât hesitate to use this venue again.

Went here for lunch with my husband and mother in law. We were seated quickly without a wait. The server, Lynn, answered any questions we had regarding the menu and checked that everything was ok during the meal. All 3 of us had something different and thoroughly enjoyed our choices. I had the chicken bacon and avocado burger. My mother in law had the fillet steak stroganoff and hubby had the surf and turf platter. We were also offered extra chips/fries. We then had desserts of crumble, black forest sundae and chocolate bomb. All were delicious. Will definitely visit again.

The Horse and Jockey is a proudly independent pub free from all the restrictions and corporate feel of all the large managed pub companies. We take great pride in our little pub and strive to create the perfect local for the local community. We have 8 han
Every community should have a pub like this. From the minute you walk in the door , the staff are excellent.Chris and laurna have really bought this place out the doldrums and its a joy to eat and drink here. The selection of ales is tremendous and a good price to boot. The food is always spot on.I ask you ,where can you get 2 large wines , 2 pints of ale and 2 cooked meals for £27.I had chicken tikka with rice and chips while my wife had cheese and bacon burger, which she couldnât eat it all .They accommodate dietary requirements which bigger chains seem to get it wrong,We could recommend so much on this menu I would be writing a lot more.As you probably can tell we love this place a lot so I had to share this with you I advise to book at busy periods also Hi AndyThank you for your great review. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Many thanksChris, Laurna and all the team at the Horse and Jockey
