After a nice long beach walk we decided to have a quick bite to eat at Wonders. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere and a nice location is what you get when you go here.We know Wonders also from another city where you get the same vibe, so it's a good concept they have.We ordered the spare ribs with fries and the portions were of good size and the spare ribs itself were really nice and tender and of good quality.Overall, a good place to sit for a quick bite or longer dinner, constant quality and a smile, always good to go here.

Three of us went there a few nights ago. It was dinner time, andw the place was packed with people coming for the "dagschotel" (dish of the day). This is an excellent way to dip into the home cooking of Holland (here we had "stamppot", a sort of mashed potato with greens in it and meat on top). There is a good informal athmosfere, service is correct, and you get good value for money. We spent under 100 EUR for the three of us, including starter, main dish, wine and coffee: for Bergen, this is good value for money. Smokers can sit outside with a blanket.

Beautiful setting, particularly in winter when the area is all lit up with lights. Fabels also boasts great substance, good menu, lovely ambience, superb food and excellent, friendly service.Im a frequent visitor to Fabel's and they have always met my expectations every time.Worth a look

Fairly simple interior, but functional for a beach pavilion. When we visited, there was a sizeable crowd. One older waiter seemed a bit stressed by all the visitors, in any case he was not the most polite of all to various customers. The menu is okay with hot and cold drinks, delights and a broad range of lunch and dinner options. Vegetarian dishes are served, and according to the menu they try to serve biological products. Prices are on the high end of midrange price level.

This place only has one thing to offer: a spectacular location and a nice terrace. But I guess many people come because of that, which makes coming here even more annoying because the staff just can't handle their workload. We waited 20 min for a beer and a wine (which came half chilled), and I had to remind the staff. The food took ages to arrive. There were at least 8-10 waiters, running around with stressed out faces, ignoring waving hands. And the night was not even that busy, which means the place is badly run with inexperienced staff (in Berlin you would have 4 waiters for a terrace like that). Now the food: oysters small and half warm, and the fois gras (I might have known not to order one here) was below average. Sea bass was fine but surely not outstanding. The fries were ok though salty. After dinner, for over an hour until we left, no one came and offered us a drink, despite only a few people on the terrace. And asking for the cheque took another 10min, the payment process another 10min. Different world out there I guess. When I gave candid feedback to the waitress and told her the reasons for no tip, she got all defensive and then said: yeah, it was a busy night! (what did she expect from that job? a shiatsu on a beach bench?)There are plenty of other options around, so I suggest to only go here as last resort

Comfortable restaurant with heated terrace. In the centre of Egmond aan Zee 50 metres from the beach. Perfect place for coffee, lunch or diner.
The wait staff was outstanding, friendly and accommodating. They even helped us charge our phones which we had drained using the GPS on our bicycling adventures, finding an empty outlet. They made us feel very comfortable and at ease. :-) The menu is solid and the food was good - a delicious lunch which nourished us and satisfied the range of appetites in our family. They even told us a bit about their beautiful seaside town which we had stumbled upon fairly by accident. Definitely recommend --

We had a few drinks and snacks at zilte zoen. They had very friendly staff and served great 'bitterballs'. For the kids the dunes are nice to play in the best of both worlds
