Was here with a work group and had a pleasant dinner. Service was friendly and efficient. Good menu with lots of tasty options but fell embarrassingly short on vegetarian options. Only real option I had was an udon noodle bowl (and salad) that just didnât turn me on. Good wine and beer selection. Would love to return with family and friends but there just arenât enough options for me on the main entrée section of the menu. Nice outdoor deck. Convenient access to main highway.

I lived in Shirley for 26+ years and when the Phoenix was redone and made into dinning, it was a pleasant addition to the community. I've been there several times, usually once a month or every other month. Our favorite in town go to restaurant. We've always had a good meal there. Never long wait time usually just walk right in and sit, servers are friendly and never a long wait for anything. The prices are reasonable, the quantity more than reasonable. The homemade desserts to die for. Using local folks with great recipes for the sweet treats. I'd recommend The Phoenix anytime!

Order a crisp and delightful salad the next time you visit Piccolino's Bar and Grill. We also have an assortment of appetizers for you to choose from. Visit 4 Mill St.
Super friendly, hometown atmosphere. I had the "Seafood Bake" - chocked full of scallops and shrimp with haddock and crumbs. My "sides" - onion rings and tangy cole slaw - were both home made and both delicious. And for dessert: a wonderful hot berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. If I had this meal in a fancy gourmet restaurant and paid twice as much it couldn't be any better.

Bring your clubs and your appetite! Enjoy a round of golf and drinks away from the bugs or bad weather. Great Food! Full Bar Trivia & Karaoke
Perhaps the local police should sit outside this place. A wild bunch of local drunks and loose bar flies. Very loud and dirty bar that has descent food and potential, but unless you meet the above standards I would avoid this place. Service was marginal at best.

Our group of 5 adults dined here on a Friday night. This is an attractive, stylish restaurant and the place was packed. The restaurant and menu have an upscale feel. Prices are on the higher end. They offer a variety of microbrews and extensive list of wines. The menu basically offered something for everyone, although could be much better for vegetarians and vegans. The menu has lots of heavier, "comfort foods." Much of the food is rather heavily laden with butter, oil and/or mayonnaise-based sauces, plus extremely salty. While most of us enjoy well-salted food, here, the salt is on steroids. While the rest of our party of 5 have no dietary issues or restrictions, I have a bad reaction to added oils which is a hazard in restaurants. I had called ahead during non-peak hours and asked if they would kindly make the Harvest Grain Bowl for me without added oils. At first the manager told me that he spoke with the chef, and everything is already premade with oil and they could not do it. I very politely told them that if they would so kindly just cook a small amount and keep it off to the side, I would truly appreciate it. The manager consulted with the chef once again, and told me they would accommodate this request. I thanked them up and down in advance. When we arrived, I referenced the phone call to the person who sat us and also to our server. All seemed fine. The server even asked me if there was anything else they could do to accommodate - I said, "thanks so much for asking! If possible, I'd love the dish to have very little salt." I really appreciated that the server asked me that. When my grain bowl arrived, I was surprised to find that the quinoa was literally uncooked. It was crunchy to the bite. Crunchy, raw quinoa!! Quinoa cooked so fast and becomes soft - I have no idea how they managed to serve me crunchy quinoa without the chef noticing. To add insult to injury, the greens were coated in salt to the point that when another adult in our party tasted it for me (I wanted to be sure I wasn't crazy!), he literally puckered from the salt. It was astonishingly salty. We told the server that the quinoa was raw, and showed him. He seemed annoyed. However, he did appropriately remove it from the bill (I think it was $17 for basically baby kale and raw quinoa). He also comped a dessert to the table, which demonstrated appropriate customer service. A manager came to the table and told me that he personally saw the quinoa from my cleared dish, and he verified that it was uncooked. So, the follow up to my dreadful meal was appropriate and I did appreciate that.I would not rush back here. There are not enough things on the menu that I want to try - they totally messed up the one and only thing on the menu that I could eat given my dietary preferences. However, I would give it a second shot if the rest of my group wanted to go. Perhaps they just had a bad night, with regard to my order and would do better next time.Dear bkramer947,Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this detailed feedback and we truly apologize for your experience. We have spoken with our manager that was taking care of you that evening and he again apologizes for the food quality you received. We arrived tired and road weary. Dinner was served quickly with good recommendations by the staff. Next morning the all-you-can-eat breakfast was only $12.95. It's a bargain. Freshly made omelets, Texas french toast, fresh fruit, oatmeal, etc., etc. Worth it.

Recently saw a show here and had dinner before. The small prime rib was huge, accompanied with fresh green beans, a baked potato and a popover. There is also a nice selection of drinks and their bread pudding was scrumptious. Fun evening all around.

In terms of ambiance, it felt better than the last time I was there. Last time it was much more rustic. There were 6 of us and the furnishings seemed more like second-hand. The dinner selections were from 2 establishments one from Marko's and one from it's parent, Lucia's. The food was average and unremarkable. This time we had chicken picata which was above average. However, the service missed the mark, perhaps due to a new wait person. It should be noted that the food selections are all cooked in Lucia's which is down the street. It's an odd setup and works nicely some of the time.

Full service restaurant serving lunch and dinner in a casual, friendly, family friendly atmosphere. Our food will make you feel like you are right at home.
Not sure what I was expecting, since this restaurant is stand alone in a small "Commons" area that has two hotels, a gas station, a dry cleaner and a few other small retail shops. Desk clerk told me it was good and that man was correct! The bartender knows how to mix drinks and the chef can cook! Service is very good. Portions are large. First time in my life I could not finish a Shepherd's Pie...which was just the right mixture of chopped meat, corn, mashed potatoes and cheese. Had I finished this, I never would have room for the Italian Cream cake, which was light and---what else?...creamy. Lemony taste having a delicious conflict with the raspberry sauce on which it was served. Reasonable prices for the quality. I will return.
