We came as a group for a works lunch, ordered our food and literally waited 1.20hr for it to arrive. Now had it arrived and been tasty, enjoyable food, you could put the wait time to one side however the food was awful. I got spicy chicken sub which consisted of a very large sub roll with enough chicken to only fill half the sub. A colleague ordered a cheese and onion sandwich with next to no cheese but with a full onion! I have known people to go to this place and have an enjoyable experience however for me, it was underrated and would not go back again!

This is a fairly regular haunt for us and we always enjoy our time there. We have eaten there in the past and it is decent enough but we generally just go for drinks. This latest visit was on a cold autumnal evening and we got a lovely table right by the open fire. This creates a lovely atmosphere to enjoy something from the good range of well priced and well kept drinks. The place keeps ticking over but is generally laid-back and relaxing place to spend an hour or so. Thereâs lots of free parking as well.

Iâve been coming here for years, the friendly atmosphere and great staff make it a pleasure, the food is home made and amazing, they make sure you are fed, the weekends karaoke entertainment is brilliant and there three course Sunday lunch is the best around, I love it in there, the landlady Chrissy is a fantastic person,

Welcome to The Masons Arms, a cosy, family friendly, local pub in Atherton. Situated on Wigan Road, backing on to the countryside of Daisy Hill, get a glorious view of Winter Hill from our sun trap beer garden. Join us for some of our new fine cuisine, tr
We used to go and it was good value for money . Somebody got delusions of grandeur And though they was in Cheshire not Atherton and though they was a gastro pub and they put a few plaster boards up and though it was ok to almost double there prices . The food is ok nothing special and some areas are very dingey and you get forgot about . Itâs very expensive for what you get definitely cheaper and better places in the Leigh Atherton area only go here if there is no were else .

Nice real ale pub. You can avoid the usual nutcases in here, and have a quiet pint of real ale, in peace. There's also a beer garden outside the back of the pub.

Enthusiastic staff keen to settle you at a table and take your order. Asked about vegan options, staff were knowledgable and made appropriate recommendations. After generous main courses, we were still tempted to go for a sweet, and the apple pie and custard didn't disappoint. Not as close to the canal as some places in Leigh, but well worth the effort of a 5 minute walk.

Afternoon tea in Curiosity is a lovely way to spend an hour or so with family and friends. Staff really friendly and great service. The afternoon tea was served in a quaint china tea set. There was a selection of finger sandwiches and wraps, a mini quiche tart, a macaron, profiterole, coffee walnut cake, lemon dessert and a warm scone with jam and cream. All presented very nicely and the food was tasty. We were also offered a jug of water for the table too. Staff very attentive. Only criticism was that for me personally, I would have liked slightly more savoury and less sweet but that's just my taste. The sandwiches and warm scones were very indulgent. I find the place a little dark for the daytime although the decor is nice and the place is very clean.. Overall it wouldn't stop me visiting again and its lovely to have this in Atherton. Thank you Curiosity!

American bar & grill, family friendly with the best burgers & shakes in town. We also have a wide selection of alcoholic drinks
As locals, we come to Buffalo semi-regularly for a fab burger & relaxing drink. The service is always friendly, reliable & helpful, plus we always enjoy the music selection & relaxing atmosphere. As a fussy burger eater, Iâve always enjoyed what Iâve had & Iâve tried several now from the Buffalo burger (classic beef) to the Herbivore (vegan option) & the Cluck Norris (chicken). Iâve also enjoyed the chicken strips several times & most of all, the fries are the best in town! We love having the Buffalo Bar and Grill so close to home! Keep doing what you do best!
