Fresh Local Produce cooked by our team of chefs showcasing the best of local ingredients and produce in a relaxed pub atmosphere.
Tonight was ceilidh night, after the village's Highland Games, and this place was busy! But the staff managed the situation, produced good beer (Whiteout and Happy Chappie) while we waited for a delicious meal: Belly of Pork with mustard mash, three different carrots and fantastic garlicky cabbage and apple sauce; my wife had Cullen Skink (very good) and hot salmon salad (yum!). We both had cheesecake and raspberry for dessert. A very well served and delicious meal, thanks chaps!

Ate here 2 nights running. 1st visit was excellent, busy, good food, good price. 2nd night the menu had changed, ? new management. More expensive for some of the same food than the night before, other items simply not there any more. Service less good on 2nd night and much quieter.

Although a little shabby around the edges, the staff were friendly and we had a lovely meal. Unfortunately the open fire was beside our table and it would have given a better impression if it had been cleaned out and reset rather than a grate of ashes with paper and sticks lying on the hearth.
