I've been there many years ago.. The owner knows lots of jazz almost like encyclopedia . Very friendly owner wife and husband. Lovely beautiful ..It's not far from AKITA train station. You could walk through Senshu park .. about 15-20 minutes depend of your interested on Akita. Akita is a small city. Sadly the main streets are kind of dead due to more family owning cars and no much parking place in mid town unless you pay. Anyhow this Rondo is one of the legend!!

My wife and I visited because the restaurant carries the beers from the next- door Aqula Brauhaus and had a good rep for food. It was not crowded, but the fact that half of the town was packed into the castle grounds for the peak of Cherry Blossom time may have had an influence!We ordered pizzas. They were just the right size, and they used a lot of cheese, which I like. Sometimes the picture of the item looks great and then when you get it, you ask yourself, âdid they forget the cheese?â Not here. The other ingredients on the pizzas were very good, and tasty.We tried several of the brews from Aqula and they were good, very respectable. They have won some good awards, and it shows. The restaurant and the brewery are closely associated, if not run by the same owner(s).The service was very good and personable.The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. There is a lot of dark wood, including big wooden beams in the main dining room, and the theme of the dÃ©cor is German, but itâs well done, not kitschy.Outdoors there are tables, which I think are served by the brewery and restaurant in good weather.
