Blue Mesa Grill delivers the bold and colorful taste of the Southwest using fresh ingredients and one-of-a-kind recipes. Known for its legendary Sunday brunch, vibrant Tequila Bar and complimentary sweet potato chips. Locations in Dallas, Addison, Plano,
I'm really torn on my review. The back-of-the-house (food & kitchen) is wonderful. The flavors in the fajita steak and chicken were fabulous. The ginger rice and black beans were really good. The white queso with multi-colored chips was another great food item.Initially, I fell in love with the look of the place. The flagstone courtyard, vine trellises, and wood plank flooring are beautiful. As I sat at the bar waiting for my party to arrive, the facade began to fall apart. The glasses were film covered. The mildew odor coming from behind the bar was outputting. Then the poor service started. The bartender was not at all friendly. Our server was not attentive. Our table was filled with empty chip and salsa bowls and beer glasses. Drinks and water were not offered or refilled if we did get something. The last straw for me was the noise level. The place was about a 1/4 occupancy on a Wednesday evening around 7:00 PM, but the noise level was too much. I can't imagine the cacophony of a Friday and Saturday night.I don't think I would come back. Service and cleanliness can't overcome the wonder food flavors.

This is a good place to find some British/Irish style food. I really like a great Sheperds Pie and this one fits the bill.

I attended BJâs with a group of friends. We decided to patronize this restaurant because it was close to our hotel accommodations (about a 5-minute walk). It was a weekend, so the place was understandably busy; however, we managed to secure a large enough table to satisfy our group. Service, initially, was good but degraded as the evening wore on. For instance, when we started our evening repast, our orders were taken promptly and drinks delivered quickly; however, when refills were requested, many of us had to wait in excess of 20 minutes while still others never received their requested drinks â even after flagging multiple servers down to remind them. On the one hand, I can sort of understand because it wasnât exactly a quiet night but, on the other hand, there were ample servers mulling about â with some paying special attention to larger tables that were ordering even more drinks. This obvious preference for those whoâll down the most drinks always gets me, be it at BJâs or any other pub or brewhouse. In any event, the atmosphere at BJâs is, to my mind, pretty standard pub fare: Dim lighting, high exposed ceilings and a quasi rustic-modern look. In short, thereâs nothing â ambiance wise â that really sets them apart. The menu, though, is pretty wide ranging and includes everything from typical pub grub to more interesting entries like their âEnlightenedâ (i.e.: healthier) selection. I suspect the menu is as varied as it is because, on top of being a happening place for a night out it also functions as a family restaurant.Because I wasnât feeling overly hungry, I kept my order on the lighter side: Signature chicken wings w/ buffalo sauce, followed by the Caesar Salad with the addition of prawns. Given how busy the place was, everybodyâs food arrived in good time. On the whole, though, Iâd say the offerings â at least what I had â was average at best. The Caesar Salad was unremarkable; the dressing tasted like it came out of a bottle, the croutons were over-sized and the shrimp, instead of complementing the salad, ended up detracting from it because they were so over-saturated with Cajun seasoning salt . . . it was all you could taste. If I wanted Louisiana-style Cajun cuisine, I wouldâve asked for it. And my chicken wings? Well, they were something of a missed opportunity. I really liked the buffalo sauce â flavourful and not overpowering â but the wings themselves were a downer. In a few words, they were uneven in cook. Some had the nice crispy exterior and juicy interior, but most were like chicken jerky. Not good.FOOD: 2/5SERVICE: 3/5VALUE: 3/5 (decent price)RECOMMENDATION: Well, this place was certainly close to the hotel but it didnât have me pining to come back for more. Service was average and the food didnât exactly blow me off my feet â not even close. But then, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? BJâs says they were âborn in pizza,â so maybe I shouldâve had that instead? Some in our group asked âHooters or BJâs?â Maybe next time weâll choose the former.PS: If you found this review helpful in any way please consider hitting the "helpful" button!

Average food, good beer, very poor service.I visited this place two weeks ago and I requested two separated checks, one for food and the other for drinks. I paid food with my debit card and drinks with cash, but they charged me drinks as well to my credit card. The waiter gave me a credit receipt, saying that my debit card had been reimbursed, but I did not recieved such credit. I called them and the manager asked me to send an e-mail with all support, wich I did and I have not received any reply from them so far. It is realy disapointing that poor service and poor management, ruin the whole experience.

I really enjoyed this place. Service was fast: waitresses and waiters were always flitting around taking orders and ensuring customers were served, gentle 80's music wafting throughout (although there was a pop quiz taking place). There's a great range of beers - the waiter took time to match our tastes to a recommended selection. We only ordered some nachos and wings as a snack, but it sufficed to compliment the beer.A great night out, will happily return.

An intriguing, southern-inspired destination for relaxing suppers, slow weekend brunching or a meeting hub for business lunches and happy hour.
This past Sunday we gave Ida Claire a try. We made reservations on Open Table, and upon arrival, were immediately shown to a table. The decor is very "southern" and matches the menu--filled with traditional Southern favorites like shrimp & grits and chicken and waffles. They have a full service bar (and bar seating) so Bloody Marys were a nice refresher as we checked out the menu. I chose the French toast (2 pcs. of thick cut toast with a fruit compost) and my partner opted for the shrimp and grits. It wasn't long before our food arrived, fresh and hot. Delicious! The restaurant was busy, but the service was attentive and we did not feel pressed to hurry up. Loved it! We look forward to our next trip here.

We arrived in Dallas ahead of the Eagles-Cowboys game. The hotel Shuttle Driver suggested Kenny's for an early dinner at 5:00 pm. This is a very food mid-prices steak and seafood place. The 1 pound crab cake app is the best! We loved the experience so well that we booked an 8:45 dinner reservation the next night. A very busy place for locals. Book early and explore the menu. The service is very attentive and the pace of dinner is comfortable. Love the bread puffs - a staple.
