I have been to Cafe Masala on a number of occasions in the past and the food and service has always been good; however, our last visit will be our final visit as the actions of the manager were unprofessional and hostile. The restaurant was busy when we arrived on Saturday 28th October but they found us a table, took a drinks order and then returned for the food order. We decided not to have poppadoms but went for starters instead. After 35 minnutes without anything appearing, the staff member who took the order came over and asked if we were still waiting for our starter. We said yes and he disappeared...no apology, no explanation. He never returned to let us know how long it would be so, after a further 10 minutes, we got up to leave. The manager came over and told us (loudly and aggressively) that the food was being prepared and that this was a restuarant and everything was cooked form fresh. I did understand that food was freshly cooked but it doesn't normally take 45 minutes to cook a starter. If they were short-staffed in the kitchen (highly likely), they could have explained, apologised and offered us some poppadoms but they didn't deem that appropriate and generally ignored us.We sat back down and 5 minnutes later a bowl of Raita was placed on the table (not elegantly it has to be said) and then nothing happened. So, 55 minutes after ordering, we decided enough was enough and went to pay for the drinks and leave. That's when the manager really kicked off. He was pointing animatedly at my partner, standing within her personal space and shouting at her and her friend. I suggested they left so I could pay for the drinks and he then started on me. He shouted that I should respect myself and not play with myself in the restaurant. Dear reader, I have to be honest, I really wasn't playing with myself in his restaurant and don't know what he was implying. He shouted at me to get out (always good to be thrown out of a restaurant that you've decided voluntarily to leave) and then stuck his middle finger up at me before doubling it up to give me the V sign. I hadn't been drinking and my partner and friend had consumed only one G&T each all evening. We are well-educated people who were chatting normally and causing no trouble. When we decided that 55 minnutes was too long to wait for a starter, we were verbally abused and initimdated by the manager and I find that unacceptable. Maybe he was having a bad day but, in a service industry, you can't treat customers like that. We won't be going back there but will leave you to make your own mind up. I'm sure the restaurant will reply to deny this version so you will have to be the judge based upon my previous reviews.

Service was excellent and the food even better. We've visited here 3 or 4 times, but this was the best eating experience by far. The staff were friendly, attentive, helpful and the food excellent. For starter's tried the Onion Bhaji, a bit on the small side but tasty. For our main meal we ordered Lamb Naga Jhol, Chicken Rogon Josh, Mushroom Pilau and a Chilli & Coriander Nan. All dishes were delicious and represented good value for money. I tried the Magners Cider, ideal for washing it all down. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Quiet tuesday evening, couple of cobras, pops and dips, curry each, naanâs, rice, coffee.Perfectly served, friendly staff, not many people in, but a good atmosphere. Would highly recommend the north Indian chilli chicken, and vegetable naan. Really good food.We hung around chatting for ages after the meal, and it wasnât a problem. Will return.

Eight of us ate here and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Great presentation, particularly the chicken cooked and presented in a hollowed out pineapple. We had starters and mains which were all delicious. Unfortunately, one of the waiters was extremely surly and miserable, hence my four star rating. His colleague was very pleasant and professional.

Namaste Indian Eatery will take you on a culinary journey across the Indian sub-continent to present a superb combination of vibrant and delicious regional delicacies.
Visiting nearby and stumbled across this excellent restaurant, great welcome by the staff and an extensive menu, plenty of options for my vegetarian wife and my favourite nagar lamb dish on the menu. Food arrived promptly and tasted great, really nice ambience and I am a big fan of Indian restaurants who play Indian music too. Met Mac the owner, him and his staff are obviously passionate about the food they service and experience they deliver, we live half an hour away and def will be back soon.
