Indian restaurant bring your own beer and wine (Serve soft drinks) Been serving food in Ross on Wye since 2005 to present Zamzam is a family run business that have been serving good indian food for decades
We visited this restaurant on a Monday night whilst visiting Ross. It was already quite full of locals as they have a special deal at the beginning of the week with 4 courses for £12.95. We regularly eat curries at home and loved the food here. We could see that those in the know had brought their own alcohol but we were happy with the soft drinks on the menu. The service was quick and attentive. We had different main courses, one chicken and the other lamb but both deliciously hot with spices and chillies as requested. The staff were very friendly and took time to discuss the chillies used. Obviously very popular and rightly so. Shame we don't live nearer!

Small Indian Restaurant situated within The Crown Inn at Lea, a warm and welcoming atmosphere serving good, honest Indian food at very reasonable prices.
Looks can be very deceiving. The restaurant is in a real spit and sawdust locals pub. Sort of wild west style meets Indian cuisine. Itâs a bit like walking into the pub in American Werewolf in London when all the locals turn and stare. Must admit my first instinct was to run away. The restaurant is in a side room of the pub. Itâs fairly basic decor. The staff were friendly. Food was good despite a fairly small menu. But nothing outstanding.Would I recommend? Erm probably not - itâs ok if youâre not bothered by your surroundings and donât mind shouting over the heavy rock music coming from the pub.Hattie, I do declare I did have a little chuckle when I read your 'American Werewolf in London' comment, I guess if you are not familiar with our wee village you could easily think this. That said we are very much a village pub with a small Indian Restaurant also serving English dishes. Given this is the only establishment in the area we try and cater for all tastes and try and pack in as much as we can. We consider our Restaurant to be a down to earth venue, welcoming and friendly and serving good, honest food.

A premium upmarket Indian Takeaway. Serving Ross-on-Wye and surrounding villages with authentic, Asian culinary food. Check out our other branch in Cheltenham.
We first tried Rasoi a week after it opened and it was very average but thought we would give it another try/chance now itâs established. I had a chicken Jalfrezi, it was again very average nothing special, a tired generic curry sauce, a lump of onion, couple of old lame peppers and chillies. Listed âslightly hotâ but it was hotter than a Madras and Iâm used to hot chilli! My friend had a âsignatureâ dish Bengal Makkani at £10.25; I tried some and it was literally like a thick coconut cake mix, some chicken with a tiny amount of Garam masala, extremely sweet and nothing remotely special about it at all.
