Called into the Three Mughals last night for a meal, ordered a dish from the chefs special menu the waiter came over with our poppadoms saying he added a few extra! no wonder, they were disgusting....floppy, greasy things, out of the five we managed to get one that was edible, then came my meal....it was very red and hot but little taste, the best thing about this restaurant is the staff, they are welcoming and friendly shame about the food.

Fancied a sit down curry to celebrate a birthday. Eating a few years ago once at the Monmouth restaurant, we chose here as it was closer to home. In-laws rung to book and said service was seamless on the phone, especially after having to ring again at short notice to bring the booking time for the table forward. Arrived around 6pm to a warm welcome, drinks order taken at the bar and shown to our seats. It did get a bit busier around 7pm. We were surprised at the choice available and for a super deal for Sundays and Mondays only. A starter, main, rice dish chips and a side for less than £12! No rush to order, poppadoms and dips to curb the hunger whilst we deliberated over what to have. Food all arrived hot - some on sizzling plates. All mains were fantastic! Must recommend the Anar Kali Bahar if youâre not into hot curries as it was so tasty! Onion bahjees lovely - not too oily. To finish we had a cookie dough and icecream sharer platter which was divine! Bubblegum icecream and red velvet cookie dough was the best, no need to go elsewhere for dessert! Would definitely return here, portions were spot on - especially for value for the Sunday/ Monday deal. Aksar on the front desk really is a credit to the team, very polite and really understood the menu being able to give suggestions based on our preferences and explain how different dishes were cooked. So tasty i didnât even take photos! Wish I did - next time I will! Thank you for a great birthday experience!

This is the 2nd time I have been here and it was as good as the first. Visiting on a Saturday afternoon, arriving before 4pm gives you a great selection of food for a very reasonable £9.95.Apart from a great selection of starters and a huge selection of curries for mains, the service by the 3 young ladies working was superb. All very pleasant and quick to clear the tables after each plateful. A great touch was we were able to order whatever naan bread we wanted . We both ordered a karma naan each and they were delivered to the table freshly made as well as a plate of 3 poppadoms. Had to have a go on the ice cream machine after the hot food as well. This is a welcome addition to the food offering in the town. Only the fussiest eaters would be unable to find something they don't like. Will be back again for sure.

The Tamarind remains our 'go to' take away as the quality of food has remained consistently high over the years we've been coming here. The lamb dhansak is excellent and our sons enjoy the Maharaja Bhuna which we think is unique to this restaurant. Delivery times are predicted accurately for take aways which on a busy Friday night can be over an hour so get your order in now!

When a take-away makes you regret not cooking - itâs probably bad. As itâs local and usually good, I order from here about once a month. But itâs become so hit and miss recently, I might have to find an alternative. On a good day the Jalfrezi is great, but there are times youâll get more flavour in a jar of Pataks. Tonight was a bad one; runny and the colour of baked beans with some suspicious strings in the mint sauce. I always order mint sauce, and itâs always good but tonights is full of fine âhairsâ - I assume itâs plastic trimmings left over from the manufacture of the take-away pot but after pulling three of them from my mouth, Iâm done with that either way. Usually food is delivered by a friendly older man who knows exactly where I live (itâs a bit off the main road). Tonights driver was a teenager, who didnât like my directions over the phone, had a good sigh, presumably got his knickers twisted and gave me an âalright mateâ. His passenger delivered the food to the door.

Lovely food but the service was a let down. Staff very involved with regular customers they knew well (looking at family holiday photos) rather than us as first time visitors. We had to call them and ask several times to be served and for more drinks. Also the specials were quite expensive. Disappointed. Weâre sorry to hear that. Our apologies for overlooking your table. We will take on board what you have said and we look forward to improving our service. Thank you for point our on what we need to improve on and hope that the next time you call in for food we will been to your expectation.
