Went here as a party of 15, take your own alcohol as they donât serve it. The place is very dated, thought Iâd been transported back to the 80âs.Staff were helpful but food not good -all curries looked the same when they brought them out even waiters struggled to say which was which. I ordered a chicken tikka bhuna and was one of the last to get the meal and not convinced it was the right one. When I pointed out there were no onions or tomatoes in it they took it back and just put some tomatoes in it. Iâd ordered a paratha to go with it- this arrived after Iâd finished eating. It didnât look very nice anyway, big lumps of veg in it ? Would not return in a hurry

This has become a family favourite, so I was glad to book a table for my mum and stepfather for their anniversary. Very friendly staff and a great menu. This is the only restaurant I am aware of that does phall curries, so the challenge is on. My mother who says she likes spicy food, but always has a chicken tikka masala, thought she would dip her folk in my curry to have a small taste and was she surprised, she didn't half regret when she felt like her mouth was going to explode. As we were one of the last tables to clear, we were offered a free shot of whatever we wanted, which is a nice gesture and taken happily. Not overly priced and local to myself, we will definitely be returning soon.

Having eaten there years ago, was looking forward to returning but was disappointed. Service was friendly enough and efficient but food was a let down. All 4 of our group had a different main course but each dish had sauces that looked and tasted the same. Similarly with the veg side dishes, which were mainly sauce of the same appearance and very little veg. Poppadoms were oily and under cooked. Our decaff coffees consisted of a pot of hot water and sachets of instant coffee to open and pour ourselves.

Had two very nice mains and a side dish. Helpful staff with menu. Thought it was very good value including the wine list.

The Lions Inn Barker's butts lane
Not a part of the City we normally frequent & the tiny front car park (the back one was ribboned off) meant finding a street space which was not easy, however, persevere! Once inside (strongly suggest you book) we were ushered into the large rear lounge where at 6.30pm was already filling. Popadoms & drinks arrived swiftly & with a smile. At a timely interval our Mains were ordered by the boss? (Only 1 who didnât crack a smile) & the Tikka Chicken Garlic Balti & Chicken Pasanda with Garlic Nan (already sliced...nice touch!) & boiled rice arrived in good time. Both meals were full of tender chicken pieces & delicious. The House Red (Merlot) was lovely. This is a very good Curry house & clearly becoming very popular. Thanks Keith for your review. The back car park is currently closed due to health and safety and we are in the process of opening it up but it is taking a little time. Hope this doesn't hinder you coming again. I will definitely work on the 'boss man' and get him to crack a smile or two!

We are situated in Meriden 5 minutes drive from the Birmingham Airport and the NEC and walking distance from Manor Hotel and Strawberry Bank Hotel. Restaurant with takeaway and home delivery service. We can cater for special birthday parties indoor or out
This is a small 2 roomed restaurant above a pub with very pleasant staff. Average poppadoms and chutney etc. OK onion bhajis - a bit heavy and lively chicken chilli tikka starter. Fish curry mains and chicken dish with nan satisfying mains. The wine list limited to 3 reds (based on grape variety) same with whites + a rose. Our white sauvignon blanc served with the patter that this was a wine from Bangladesh - since when was Chile a part of Bangladesh? - all a bit of friendly banter
