Our aim is to provide a stimulating range of high quality food at reasonable prices with impeccable service in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere.
Ordered a take-away from here for the first time tonight & was surprised to see Alan, who I'd known for many years from a different restaurant, running this new place. As usual his friendly approach, along with the rest of the staff, makes for a great first impression. We ordered two dishes which were ready when I arrived, a Malayan & Naga, each with distinct flavours and were very pleased with the whole meal.We shall definitely be visiting again soon to dine with the whole family.Craig thank you, it was a pleasant surprise, we look forward to seeing you very soon with your family, Alan

So many delicious sounding items to choose from the extensive menu.Online ordering is easy & quick. Seems that no matter which starter or main meal I choose, the Redforte never fails to impress. Iâm still working through the dishes, but somehow "instinctively know" that everything that I try will be SUPERB!!

Honestly the worst Xmas dinner me and my family have experienced. We booked for 11 of us for Xmas day to arrive for our 2 hour sitting. The starters came it was a mix of traditional and Indian they was edible but not hot and not great. We then went on to all have traditional Xmas dinners which was like a pile of slop. The turkey was so dry and the stuffing and mash was like purée just like baby food. We was that disgusted we didnât stay for desert and wonât be ordering of them again we spent £250.00 for a dinner no one enjoyed and because we paid in advance the owner didnt really seem that bothered bout the quality of the food £30.00 a head is a joke would have rather have gone weatherspoons.

We visited here last night after booking a table earlier in the day for 7.30pm; Iâm aware that we visited on a Saturday night and it therefore would be busier than usual but the service we received was far too slow. After we were shown to our table following a 10 minute wait we started to look at the drink menus and chose what we wanted, our drinks orders were then taken about 5 minutes after which wasnât too bad but waiting to order food took forever. The restaurant seems to want to look like its offering a silver service style experience with the waiting staff placing napkins on your lap for food and pouring drinks for you but to be honest this doesnât work in the environment of this restaurant. It took an hour and 30 minutes for the popadoms to even get to our table which we had to chase for on 3 occasions, the food then followed about 30 minutes after that - this total time of around 2 hours is a very long time to wait for food so we were not impressed. The whole bad experience in here was polished off when one of the waiters brought a birthday cake out to a table whilst singing happy birthday only to take it to the wrong table which was a complete embarrassment as the whole restaurant ruptured in to laughter. To be honest it was just shoddy, I felt so bad for the girl whoâs birthday it actually was after her cake had been taken to the wrong table. The food in all honesty was not too bad but unfortunately the experience was just too bad, this was made worse by the constant flickering of lights in the restaurant which really effected my âenjoymentâ of the mealJust not good service... I wonât be visiting again!Thank you for your feedback as above but this review could not be any more further than the truth as to what happened on Saturday night here at Tamarind Restaurant.Firstly I will not be apologising for anything in relation to your visit and the fabricated review you have decided to leave on our TripAdvisor. As you witnessed Saturday night the restaurant was pretty much full after you had been taken to your table. You were given menus and drink orders were taken. By no means did you wait 1hour 30 mins for poppodoms as there was over 80 diners who all had there main meals within the hour mark....so to state you waited 1 hour 30 mins for poppodoms is quite ludacris. As to the "Poor girl" (your opinion) which whom you don't know in anyway had a wonderful night and their family was one of the last tables to leave even going as far as leaving a £20 tip....hardly a "Poor girl"? The restaurant cheered with a roar after the right cake came out and the birthday girl saw the funny side of things quite clearly not for you as you seem to have decided what kind of night she had? Far from it. Your review is quite laughable lol Lastly....when writing a review in future? Please state all the facts as you did not want to pay the bill when your bill arrived on your table without any justification at all. I explained that a lot of other customers had been in the restaurant before your table came in and everybody (approx 80 diners) had a lovely experience other than yourself. Out of courtesy I deducted £20 off your bill (something you forgot to state in your review...oops) you also failed to state in your review that you did not want to pay the bill? Don't know what you expected on a Saturday night with a full restaurant? Maybe stick to McDonalds on a Saturday night...you'll get your food quicker? My staff worked tirelessly from my kitchen to floor staff and everybody enjoyed and appreciated their night but you. Take time to read our reviews and it will show you what customers really think and their honesty and integrity. We wish you luck for the future on your dining experiences and please leave honest reviews stating the full facts surrounding your experience instead of half the story.ManagementTamarind

We live virtually on the doorstep of Panshi so we do order quite frequently. Unfortunately the take away has gone a little downhill. Pricing seems haphazard and they rarely bring a receipt. My husband always orders the same thing, garlic chilli lamb but the last one literally had no taste whatsoever and the sauce looked like tinned tomatoes. Our bill seems to have crept up by £5/£6 and the quality has gone down.Sorry guys, you need to sort it out :(

We had a take away from here last night.... we were told 10 mins, the 20. Then when we went to collect 20 mins later we had to wait another 20 mins. Had the chef changed because the food is no where near as good as usual, the meal we had looked totally different to how it did before, totally different colour and not as nice. This is such a shame because it is our local. Hi there, shocked to actually read something like this as I have no knowledge of this nature happening in our restaurant. Our chef has not changed and our waiting time on collection orders is no where near what you have stated. I would recommend you pop in to have a word with management in the near future concerning any worries or issues you may have. Thank you Management@indiared

My whole family enjoy eating here, the food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. Iâve tried lots of different chicken dishes, duck and salmon and have enjoyed them all. The have recently extended their banquet nights which provide even better value for money.I recommend garlic tandoori duck.
