Montana has deservedly won quite a few awards for the quality of the food they prepare. We have been here quite a few times, both to eat in, and for take out, bit it has been a little while since we last ate in. I am pleased to say that this restaurant remains one of my favourite Indian/Kashmiri restaurants. The standard of food here surpasses any other similar restaurant any where, in my opinion. The menu is varied, with a wide selection of dishes based on the regions of the northern part of the subcontinent, and there is a good choice for the vegetarians amongst us. The staff will tell you that any dish on the menu can be prepared as a vegetarian option, which means that veggies have the same varied choice as the carnivores! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, will take the time to explain the dishes, and are very attentive. This time we went for the banquet night, which at £14.95 per person for 2 courses, is excellent value. Starting with poppadoms and pickles, followed by onion bhaji (the best bhaji on the planet!), and a nice hot curry. The spices are not over done as you find in many Indian restaurants. The dishes are spiced much more as you would find locally in India or Bangladesh or Pakistan, with a nice great, but full of flavour. If you have not yet tried Nibana, I thoroughly recommend you do.

First visit to this place. Looks nice inside and we were welcomed on arrival. From then on it just got better popodoms to start with, the menu is not extensive but when order was taken we were told that if we had an idea of what we liked they would cook I asked for something with a boiled egg in it for my main it was suggested the a chilli and garlic dish made hot would be good so I chose lamb. The starter I had Bengal fish absolutely delicious our friends enjoyed theirs as well. The mains came and again the one I had was delicious and again our friends enjoyed theirs as well. I had mango delight for dessert again really nice. The service was great and the facilities good with good access for wheelchairs. Well worth more visits. Thanks for a lovely evening

We have eaten here a number of times and had a couple of deliveries too. We have exhausted the Indian restaurants and take aways available in Plymouth, and never had such consistent meals as from here. The ingredients appear fresh and the curries are flavoursome without compromising quality with MSG and cheap meat especially chicken. Please do not compromise your ingredients over the demand for cheaper meals.

I had heard good reviews from friends who have been here but had never tried it myself till now, despite walking past many times & thinking how good it smells!Itâs a pretty big place & it was quiet in there midweek but it really shouldnât be, we couldnât fault any of the food we had or the service.Itâs not the most chic or fancy place to dine out in, but the waitress was lovely, very friendly yet never in your face and itâs not overcrowded with furniture, youâre not squeezed up next to other tables. We only had papadums & pickles to start with; the pickle tray was very good, usual pickles but somehow different, and the papadums were crispy & not at all greasy. The main courses were all good with individual flavours & spices, everything was served piping hot. Some of the dishes were a bit salty though thatâs probably because we never use salt at home, donât be put off. There was no excess oil anywhere, we were really happy with all the food ordered. I wish I could have eaten a pudding as they do kulfi & gulab jaman as well as loads of others but that would have been overdoing it.Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
