Went with a work colleague after an event. Really warm and lovely owners. Had a mixture of items which were sall super. Washed down with draft Cobra beer.You could tell that all his customers were regulars over mann many years.You dont get many places like this London which is where I from.Well done and see you soon,!

Very modern and chic looking Indian restaurant. Staff attentive and helped us with choosing our meals. Food was of a very high standard, most enjoyable. One issue, considering only a few tables were taken it took a long time to eventually receive our main meals. Will give it another try though.

Took our son for a family meal for his 21st birthday. Staff were excellent, extremely attentive and happily catered for for all our requests about table and presentation. The food was excellent and presented to a very high standard, we couldn't have asked for more and the price was very reasonable.

Ordered some starters and a main curry from here and I have to say we were absolutely shocked at the quality of the food and the tastelessness. It was like they cooked the curry in only tomato ketchup with zero seasoning. I canât understand how anyone would serve up this food and In turn anyone would return. A total waste of money and all our food was thrown in the bin!

Always on the search for a very good Indian. 99% of restaurants all taste the same - so so. After many recommendations we tried the cottage once before and were pleased. We decided to drop in again last night after a few drinks in beeston. This time we were more than impressed. Flavours i've never had at an indian before. Highly recommend the sweet chili fish for starters. The desi delight main was just superb. Service great. So i'm not going to be totally biased. If you must visit other indians - do it. But when you're underwelmed with the averageness - make your next booking at the cottage balti. You will wish you'd gone there sooner. The challenge for me now will be to find an even better one. I think it will take some time.

A really great Indian restaurant out of town. Friendly service, good atmosphere, huge election of gins! It is expensive all round, but itâs very good.The food was very nice, we shared a range of dishes which were all really good. You can chose your spice option from mild to mental.... Crepe Suzette is on the menu but takes 20/30 minutes which I think itâs to put people off.Iâd go back, special occasions.

Given a lot of the reviews that we had read we were both somewhat disappointed by our meal. Compared to other Indian restaurants local to us in Milton Keynes this would have been more pricey but less authentic or satisfying. The restaurant is pretty tired, service was good but much of the food was bland.

We have never been disappointed with meals from Akbar Balti, whether ordering takeway or eating in. We actually ate in this time and having not been since the redecoration loved how they had made it lighter and brighter without losing the friendly atmosphere. All three of us had chicken tikka in various sauces, masala, kashmiri and passanda with boiled rice, pilau rice and a peshwari naan. The food was wonderful as usual and the house red wine very drinkable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and their service was attentive without being excessive.
