We are now under one roof at maharaja Indian restaurant, 77 High street north. Dunstable.LU6 1JF. Please visit us .
I wrote to the owner to express my upset after the way I was treated by Mohammed full details before posting this review however despite me emailing them on the 12th, 14th and 18th December I have not once received any acknowledgement or response. I am disappointment and disgusted with both the food and service I received from this establishment. I placed a telephone order for a delivery on Friday 8th December 2017, my order came to £31.85 and I was told it would be 45 minutes, well after an hour it still hadnât arrived so I called to chase and was told it the diver was in my road and would be with me in a couple of minutes. I waited in the cold standing in my street for nearly 10 minutes and still our food did not arrive. I then called back and again was advised they were busy and that it would be with me soon. I waited and waited and after a further 10 minutes the food finally arrived. It is the first time I have ordered from this company and to be honest will be the last. When the food arrived the starters were freezing cold as was the rice and the naan bread, the mains were slightly warm but not overly hot and lacked flavour. We was so disappointed that we barely touched the food and I called your restaurant to express my upset and disappointment. I was passed to a gentleman called Mohammed who was very rude and abrupt and did not want to listen as he said no one else had complained therefore I am lying. He would not accept that there was anything wrong with our order. He accused us of eating it and shouted at me to bring the food back. I explained that I was unable to drive but I would be more than happy for them to collect the food and issue me with a refund. I have never been spoken to the way he spoke to me or shouted at for feeding back to an establishment how disappointed I was with the food they had delivered. I requested a minimum of 50% to be refunded however he was unwilling to refund me and said he would give me 10% back. I continued to express my upset and explain that 10% refund was not acceptable when we havenât been able to eat any of the food. He then said 20% refund, it was clear he had no interest in resolving the issue with the food or giving me my money back. Mohammed continued to argue with me on the phone costing me more money as it was my phone bill for 30 minutes which is disgusting behaviour and appalling customer service and I have never been made to feel the way he made me feel. I am an honest human being and feel I was treated terrible by him. After 30 minutes he finally said he would refund me £15.00 by this time I was in tears over how he had made me feel. The call then ended I have since checked my bank and can see that rather than refund me £15.00 he took a further £15.00 from my account which is totally unacceptable. Although after a couple of days I was finally refunded £30.00 I feel this is totally unacceptable that this has happened and under no circumstances should more money have been taken. Under no circumstances should customers be made to feel so low that they are reduced to tears or spend over 30 minutes on the phone being shouted at by anyone let alone a staff member at a local restaurant all because they sold inedible food. I am out pocket from my phone bill and was also out of pocket the extra money that was taken. I would strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this restaurant for the awful food and the way the staff will treat u when u are given disgusting food. There are some beautiful Indian restaurants locally however this is the worst one I have ever had the unpleasure of trying. Total rip off

The first thing we wanted on our visit to the UK was a good Indian meal and we were not disappointed. We had a large selection of dishes and they were all full of flavor and spice. A nice variety of breads and poppadoms. I would defiantly eat here again.

We regularly order our Friday night takeaway from Vantage. The food is absolutely gorgeous, full of flavour, spice and lovely tender chicken. I was lucky enough to win their weekly Facebook 'meal for two' competition and was treated to first class service in their beautifully decorated restaurant. We were spoilt for choice on the menu! I have to point out that all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and really made us laugh tonight. An absolutely perfect evening and rebooked to return again in a couple of weeks.Highly recommend....best in town!Thank you Vantage.

We eat here pretty regularly and it is always very good, the food is always great, definitely one of the best in the area. They are always happy to tweak your dish if you want it a bit hotter or milder and portion size is good, not mountains of food, but more than enough.

Eight of us enjoyed a pre-ordered authentic meal here last Sunday; no creamy sauces, just the most wonderfully flavoured chicken, lamb, fish and vegetables. A little rice and some rotis topped it off perfectly. All washed down with draft lager and then coffees. Theyâve done this for us before, and it lived up to expectations again. Around £30 a head including drinks, which I thought very good value for the quality of the food. Good service as well.

Was looking for somewhere to eat and walked past The Spice Lounge seeing how modern, clean and contemporary it looked from the outside. Decided to give it a go and glad I did.Service was friendly, polite and non-instructive.Good quality was excellent. Prices average for what youâd expect to pay.Happy to recommend.
