Shaheens is a well established buisness Located 100 yards from durham cathedral Shaheen's is a warm and welcoming place For families and individuals Shaheens has been serving durham for over 30 years, priding ourselves in a traditional and authentic india
What a great experience! We visited on Saturday night. We hadnât booked and arrived early and were lucky enough to get a table. On arrival, we told the waiter about my husbandâs allergy to cowâs milk and the staff were amazing. The chef came out of the kitchen to advise us on the dishes we could eat and she offered to take our order to ensure that we selected options that were free from cowâs milk. The food arrived and we were not disappointed. The popadoms, onion bhajis, tandoori king prawns, prawn dupiaza and prawn madras were absolutely delicious. The staff even made my husband his own parathas bread made from oil rather than butter. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. It is great to find a restaurant with employees that really care. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you very much for a fantastic experience!

Ordered chicken tikka Rogan Josh described as medium to hot - OMG it wasnât even mild! It smelt off!!!! My wife ordered Chicken Tikka Masala which in here own words âthis is very poor and doesnât taste like masalaâ. We will definitely not be going back to this restaurant again.

Recommend by friends for being the best around slightly disappointed with our first order, unable to contact the restaurant by email unless I went via Facebook. No Facebook account so just left it. No lamb korma had too get lamb tikka korma or something like that the onion Bajis were small, the lady taking the orders was very friendly polite as was was the chap serving with the beard. Hopefully weâll get too try again
