a short 30 minute drive from Innsbruck to a wonderfull forest lake good for swimming and boating in summer. The resturant is nice anytime of year due to the great view and food. Fresh fish from the lake are a special dish.

We ate outside at dusk, looking up at the Schloss Matzen castle-hotel. The food was a bit pricey but totally worth it. The service was perfect. My picky-eater, teenage daughter is still talking about our evening there. It was a real treat.

Historic, comfortable, wood paneled dining rooms create an incomparable and genuine atmosphere at âSigwartâs Tiroler Weinstubenâ underscored by luscious, straight-forward cuisine which never loses sight of its Tyrolean roots.
You look at the menu and think youâve arrived in paradise: everything original, fresh, innovatively prepared. The food arrives, and it lives up to its promise. But then, why isnât the restaurant full? It is cosy, conveniently located, bright, it should be full to bursting. The flaw is evident only when it is time to pay the bill. Compared to all the restaurants in the land, this one is great, but simply too expensive.
All ingredients are well selected ! If you would like to have high-quality teas in this region, than you have to visit this place, homemade cakes, and good selection of menu - very nice service ! Never to expect in this small village next to beautiful nature of Alpbach an Reith

There is a lovely atmosphere in The Dorfwirt, lovely Austrian style bar and restaurant. The food is excellent, good choice and great value for money. The waitress is charming, friendly and professional. First choice in Reith for food in my opinion.

We visited for an arranged lunch as a large group, but a few of us arrived early as everywhere else in town was shut because of the Christmas holiday. Nevertheless, although an hour early on the programmed lunch, we were made very welcome and the bar was opened especially for us. Lunch was excellent, with schweinbraten, sauerkraut and dumpling making for a superb traditional meal to soak up the beers we'd sampled earlier. Throughout, all members of staff went out of their way to make us very welcome.

Die Arcade restaurant in Schloss Matzen hotel has a great chef that prepared for us a three course menu which was tailor made for us. Every single plate was made by carefully selected ingredients, perfectly cooked giving our dinner a unique taste. The ambient environment and the excellent service give the final touch.

"Eat where the locals do" is my motto & my husband & I were happy to find many dining there during the lunch rush. It's not located on the main strip, but its unique atmosphere is preferable to me. We had the veal schnitzel with dumplings and Tyrolean deer. Both meals were very filling. The owner came by to check on us and insisted that we have a free dessert despite our protestations that we were stuffed. We chose expensive dishes, but other items were fairly priced considering the large portions. We enjoyed our dining splurge in Rattenberg, a quaint town worth visiting.

We visited the Restaurant Kirchenwirt during a trip to Tirol. We learned from the place using TripAdvisor. We got a nice place in a quiet corner. We ordered drinks first. After a few minutes the waiter asked for the menue choices. My wife ordered grill plater, I decided for Schnitzel. Very soon the waiter arrived with the food. Nobody asked whether we wanted to drink something else than the two Gin Tonics. We asked for wine and beer. The food was good but not amazing but meeting the high standard of Austrian kitchen. After the food we had to actively ask for dessert menue. One card presented only. We decided for cheese which was good. We ordered coffee, only one was delivered. All in all the service was not very friendly, and we had to a to ask again and again...

For my taste the Herrnhaus has one of the best cuisines in the whole region! The staff and owners are always friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Everything from starter to dessert, from traditional specialties to modern dishes is delicious. Great restaurant to visit if you are in the Alpbachtal/Zillertal area!
