Stumbled upon this charming biergarten off the main drag, enjoyed the bratwurst, kraut, goulash soup and mother-hen service. Exactly what we were looking for! Plus, they served Villacher and locals were all around us. Perfect.

A great view on the lake when you seat outside! Unbeatable location for watching the boats and people passing by.Food is good as well, regional and seasonal. Portions are generous. Service is nice and attentive. The only (minor) disappointment was the quality of coffee.

We visited this lovely restaurant twice during a short holiday in Reifnitz. Beautiful views from the hills above Keutschach. Friendly, attentive staff; delicious food in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The owner (and his elderly father) made a point of greeting and warmly welcoming us on both occasions. Our only disappointment was on one visit one dessert was a little dry - which they apologised for & gave the whole table a complimentary after dinner drink.

This is small enough restaurant that is placed directly on Hauptstrasse. There are two many things to need to say about. First of all, almost all meals here are in Austrian home style, to say more - in country style. The variety of meals is not so big but all are tasty and authentical. The second moment is connected with service in Stuberl. It is very friendly and very fast. You need to visit this place to try real Carinthian hospitality. By the way it is very easy to reach Stuberl as by walk (in case you are living in Poertschach) as by car if you are travelling thorough Carinthia.

Food basic, menu basic, quality basic. Right on a busy road so something needs to be better for a return visit. Maybe eating inside is the answer, but on a summer evening there are better offerings locally.

Probably the most delicious breakfast, I have ever had! Everything is self-made. The bread is fresh, really fresh! The entire breakfast was great. Quite a fair range of food and funny hats for their eggs.Returned there for dinner on the same day and were equally satisfied. The atmosphere is also very nice! It is a small garden with a couple of tables. There is also a small shop attached, where you can buy the local products. The price for the food is not cheap, but considered the local prices, it seems fair.

The restaurant is right on the main street, so very convenient if you are looking for someplace to walk. The staff is super friendly, the food is okay, but nothing special, although perhaps it was just our choices.

Great local cuisine. Fresh water fish, very tasty Austrian dumplings, lovely dessert. Friendly, well-trained, English-speaking staff. What a wine we had! If only the place was closer to home ...

This restaurant is in a typical Austrian house with beer garden. A short drive behind Portschach. The food is an excellent example of local tastings. We visited it a few times during our stay in the area. It has grown and expanded in the last four years, at times not for the better. It can get very busy and the staff can be pushed to the limit. However they do a fabulous job under busy times and the food is worth it.
