i been here a few times already. All the times the food was really good. The service staff is also very nice! problem I find is the long wait till you registered to get in. Also the design of the room is a bit dated. But never the less I would strongly recommend eating here!

This restaurant is not for gourmets, but for people loving good local and sumptuous Vorarlberg food. Here you find a big variety of dishes for all palates, but also many regional specialties. The place itself is a cosy old brewery restaurant, originally mainly aimed for local people. Service is friendly and efficient, partly dressed in typical Austrian costumes, occasionally difficult to understand because of the local dialect. Best to drink along with the food is of course beer of the own brewery, which is tasty and good. Prices are relatively high but considering the size of the dishes still acceptable.

Been here for celebrating Christmas lunch with our big family. This restaurant is definitely one of the best in the area and serve tasty Austrian traditional good in modern touch. As we came with big family so we reserve the place and the menu, so here we just follow the course. The first is Forelle Mousse with black bread and salmon roe, its very refreshing and delicious. The Maronen soup came after with celery foam and piece of spicy sausage. The main menu was Deer meat cooked in gravy with bread and berry sauce. It was delicious and for dessert we have frozen ice cream like wrapped with pancake like consistency. With the wine selection they offer was excellent with the food. The ambiance is nice and the hospitality is over the top. Dear faozanrizal, dear guest, thanks a lot, for your appreciative words. It gives motivation to all of us, knowing that you are estimating our way of hospitality. Great to read that you and your familiy enjoyed your Christmas lunch with us that way. Giving us our opinion ist precious and helpful to know on our way. Thank you!We are looking forward to have you with us again, perhaps next Christmas - meanwhile we are going on "loving what we are doing".Yours Ulrike Nerz and Team

During the opera festival season and christmas holidays we open our doors the whole week, also on tuesday. We are looking forward to your visit at our restaurant.
This restaurant with traditional autrian cuisine menu and cosy interior offers good value for money combined with polite and friendly staff. Food is tasty & portions decent, yet it is nothing super special that would take your breath away. Good place for a quick lunch, no so much for a romantic dinner...

Das neue Restaurant in Bregenz! Frisch rennoviert neu interpretiert und regional!
The service had been completely slow. There was nothing goin on and then we still waited another 40 minutes for our food. We had the vegetarian dish and it didnt really taste so good so my girl left half and i told the service that we didnt like it. Risotto had a taste of nothing. Would not recommend this restaurant if you are in Bregenz. Hardcore pricy as well.Dear Philipp, first of all we want to thank you for the feedback even it is not that good. we care about every rating therefore we would appreciate to get more information about your stay and your food. Wich vegetarian dish did you order and could you please inform us on which day during what time you attended the restaurant? This will helps us to get more information about the waiter who served you and why the management didn't know anything of that grievance before your post. We know this will not compensate your unsatisfied stay in the Freischwimmer therefore we will ask you to get in contact with us so we are able to invite you once more to this nice place to fulfill your expectations!Your Freischwimmer Team

Good basic Austrian food and fantastic traditional Austrian desserts.Cheerful cheeky waiters making sure we were happy. We were here for a long supper and had everything from bright sunshine with a clear sky on the terrace to a stunning sunset and star-filled sky reflecting over Lake Constance at night. The drive up to there was breathtaking too.

We sat outside at this restaurant on its ample covered terrace; there were pleasant views over the lake and all in all it was a very pleasant experience. The service however was slow and not desperately friendly; but this was balanced by a great soup, some excellent vegetarian pasta and a delicious dessert.Iâd certainly come again, but my top tip would be âDonât be in a rushâ

I invited my grandmother for her birthday to enjoy an extended lunch in a nice atmosphere. We sat outside, the atmosphere was nice, the view and the newly built house (i like the clean architectue) were great.FOOD was disappointing. I chose the carpaccio and the daily special which was the fish platter recommended by the waiter. The carpaccio was average with too much rucola for my taste. The fish was disappointing: while the portion was almost too big, the quality and taste were not convincing at all. A smaller fresh fish from the grill would have been nicer than the two cheap supermarket fish filets that have been prepared in a pan with too much butter.Another point that tells a lot about the chef is that you find Schnitzel "Wiener Art" made of pork but not the real "Wiener Schnitzel" from a calf. Why?!SERVICE was not exactly great. The young waiter was just too proud of himself and the place. He asked "war sicher super, oder?" which is "sure this was amazing, wasnt it?" when he took away the plates of the main course. For that reason we even skipped dessert and went for an ice cream in Bregenz. As much as I disliked the food and the service - I will give it another try for some casual Käsespätzle and a beer as this seems to be their culinary limits.

This restaurant definitely deserves its place in the Michelin guide. The decor is contemporary yet warm and there is a nice terrace in the back that is shielded from the sun by vines. The staff is very professional (but not snobby), efficient and attentive. The food is delicious! Regional dishes prepared with a skilled hand. Nice presentation, without the food just being piled on the plates. Simply, wonderful cuisine.
