Very good regional food with Goesser beer straight from the brewery across the street. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Seems to be quite popular with locals too.

I must say that I had by far the best hot-dog ever at Gerhard's, would definitely go again. Delicious!
Ob nur auf ein Bier, oder auf eine zünftige Jause, beim Zwanzger ist man immer richtig. Mittags gibt es auch ein Menü. Sehr gemütliches Lokal, im Freien sitzt man direkt am Hauptplatz. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Immer gerne wieder.

The smokersâ area of âGasthof Zum Greifâ has kept its traditional rustic styling. Hunting trophies decorate its walls. The adjacent nonsmokersâ area has been slightly modernized and is now a not very pleasing motley mix of old and new, whose decoration refers to the age-old beer tradition. Only few restaurants have retained that kind of appearance. Though not really pretty by todayâs standards, these dining rooms are definitely worth to be seen and provide a fairly nice atmosphere. The permanent menu was tradition-minded as well, because it comprised almost only classics of the Austrian cuisine, thereby covering meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. It was complemented by two dishes of the day, written at a chalkboard at the entrance. Since I chose one of them, roasted liver, it was served, as expected, after only a moderate waiting time. The liver had been prepared with small bits of bacon, which gave a special flavor, and tasted fine. The chef deserved praise for the gravy, which was not greasy and had not been turned into stodge by adding too much flour. Seeing also the ordinary size of the portion, the price (less than ten euros) was fair. Service was friendly and for the most part swift as well.

This little restaurant in the center of Leoben seems to be a meeting point for Leobeners, it's always crowded over lunchtime. It has a nice ambiente and very friendly staff, however, the food I ordered - a salat with grilled pigeon breasts was not convincing, the meat was hard-bitten and full of sinews. Maybe I should try a different choice the next time. The other people seemed to be happy with their food.

"We are telling beer storys, because we are beer history" that's the slogan of Arkadenhof, the oldest brewery restaurant of Leoben. A fact, that the well known beer pope Conrad Seidl noticed too, and elected the "A-Hof", that's how the locals call the cul
I came here with a few colleagues tonight, having been recommended to us. The service was friendly, attentive and fast, and the restaurant was clean, the decor was very traditional. Contrary to other reviews menus are available in English.I had the potato soup with mushrooms to start which was the best soup I've had in a long time, followed by turkey schnitzel which was absolutely delicious and massive- putting shame to what we call a schnitzel in England! This along with 2 beers came to â¬22 which I thought was excellent value. This is definitely a great choice in Leoben, and situated right in the main square.
