Hotel Heiligenblut offers only a buffet that has a mix of Austrian and I believe American cuisine. The fact that no prices are posted anywhere should let you know what you're in for - a E22/person bill, not including drinks. For that price you would expect good food at least, and things did start with a decent soup. Following that, however, we noticed that all of the food we got was cold and they were running out of several items despite it being relatively early (7 pm). They eventually replaced one tray with a full one, and even that wasn't very warm. Even warm the food would have been just okay, with most of the meat fairly dried out and the desserts having obviously sat out way too long.We complained to the waiter, who said he would talk to someone. Another waiter came up and asked how things were and we complained again, and he said he would return. Then a guy in a suit, perhaps the manager, asked how things were in passing and thinking our situation was being addressed we said fine. Well it turns out he was the manager, and when the other waiter found him all he kept saying was "Well I asked how things were and you said fine" as if that in any way excuses cold, bland food at a ridiculous price. Ultimately they did not charge us for one our four buffets, which is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one.One other issue we had was that we were travelling with an infant and we asked if they had a changing table. They scrambled some and then rather than admitting they did not so we could just change him elsewhere they led us to what turned out to be the hotel laundry room!Don't waste your money here!
We stayed at Rupertihause over the weekend. It was a great place to stay with an amazing view over the small town. I recommend this place for a relaxing weekend inbetween mountains and a lovely nature. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the food delicious. Don't miss the self made ice cream! Thanks for the warm welcome.See you soon.Dear Nadessl, thank you very much for your nice review. We are happy you liked our hotel as well as enjoyed our food.See you soon!Best regardsRupertihaus Team

Wonderful lunch. And the saiblinger (local fish.... arctic char) was prepared to perfection. Not overdone, as is too often the case with fish. That's the mark of a chef who knows how to cook! Great soups and meat dishes. Topped it off with verlangerter coffees. Yum.
We ate here the night we arrived and it was excellent. The food is delicious, wine is good and the service wonderful. On Wednesday nights. I believe, it's Fondue night. Try it, excellent. Prices are what you would expect and they give you plenty. Enjoy!!

Nice place with good food and drinks. It was a bit busy with only one lady serving the whole restaurant but after a while it got better. I was honestly surprised that you are still allowed to smoke inside the restaurant (sorry ex smoker here) so that was a bit of a disappointment for me. Luckily it wasn't so busy inside. We had a nice soup as a starter. I do recommend you ask if you wish to wait with your main coarse as typically you'll get your meals very quickly (we asked upfront so don't know if this is the case here). Both the pizza as the local food was very good! We enjoyed our evening here and will come back!

Spectacular setting, located at the world famous Grossglockner alpine road. We ordered Weissbier, which in this region always turns out to be a good choice. They serve cheese from own production from milk of cows grazing right next to the hut. Their "Emmenthaler" is prized and certainly worth a try - but do try to convince the service to cut the cheese in thick slices! Otherwise the cheese is served cut very thinly and this is not the way Emmenthalter is served best. I assume they do that because people are too stingy in investing 2⬠for a better taste... Very friendly female owner with a lot of pride in what she does - also rewarded "Alm of the Year" in 2007, which is quite remarkable, considering the competition.

We visited this restaurant repeatedly and have always left satisfied. Prosecco, afternoon cofee with desert, or dinner with our little daughter, all without problems and good quality. The staff is friendly and willing. The only difficulty are Austrian omnipresent flies inside the restaurant. I can recommend restaurant CASA

We enjoyed soothing hot chocolate, crisp, warm toast and a generous portion of apfelstruedel at this pretty, wood-paneled place. Located in the corner of the village square, you can sit outdoors or at the window seat to enjoy picturesque views of this pretty little village at the foot of Mount Grossglockner.

Excellent staff, helpful in meal selection. Little Italian known. Very tasteful meats, topped with particular dressings, ranging from hot and spicy Chili-like to fresh berries. Great value, worthy a visit when in the area.

Nice restaurant with the ususal Austrian dishes but also an international card with nice inventive offerings. Service is brisk and sometimes friendly. Good wine list and excellent beers.
