A very nice Gasthaus, great food and super service. The newly renovated playground is awesome! One of my favorite restaurants.

We sat down in the restaurant and the waiter could have been more welcoming. He redeemed himself during the meal! We had a turkey salad, Greek salad and two hamburgers with fried egg and French fries. The men pronounced it very tasty. My Greek salad was light on the lettuce and heavy on the feta cheese and olives in a good dressing. The mixed bread basket was very fresh. I don't eat meat and whilst they offered vegetarian options I preferred the Greek salad. The toilets are clean. The views across the lake are good

Although the hike was not too difficult this place was a welcomed break. A lovely view and good food. When we were the local seniors were hiking besides a school group so people watching was super activity. The only thing - one sees all these lakes but cant go swimming. Too cold.

Our great-grandfather, the old Hois´ has been known over 100 years ago, why he chose this place on the banks of Lake Traunsee for his restaurant.Be it the bright, welcoming reception area or our seminar and conference rooms with appropriate equipment for
We had a nice lunch here with friendly service and a great location. It was a warm summer day so we could sit on the very large terrace. Prices are fine and good selection on the menu. You can stay in the gasthof too and it is possible to go here by ferry. Family with babies: There is a baby changing room upstairs on the second floor - go up by the elevator.

The tradition oozes out of every pore of this very typical farmhouse Gasthof where a warm welcome is served with great traditional Austrian food and drink. Go and find out for yourself!

Local charm, warm and cozy lodge-like atmosphere. Delectable deer-sausage brat and sauerkraut main dish for less than 6 euros (WOW)! Austrian red wine is priced just right. Traditional German/Austrian salads with pickled veggies were tasty and fresh. We sat upstairs in non-smoking, which was just as welcoming as down. We are coming back for another meal before we leave Gmunden!

What a great hotel the Grunberg at Gmunden is! The accommodation, facilities and particularly the food are all of a very high standard. The staff are a happy team - very welcoming, very helpful and always smiling. A family atmosphere and a very professional service. Our food each evening was local in nature, well presented and very filling. If you are in the area, then make sure the Grunberg is on your itinerary.

Had lunch from the reduced set menu as this was the only choice between Christmas and New Year. Not that we would have missed anything or that our special dietary requirements would not have been catered for. Fabulous food, extremely flexible, friendly and authentic service, and definitely a restaurant to go back to on my next visit. Superb.

What could have been a very good experience at this restaurant turned into a very average one at best. We came here based on the reviews plus there are not many choices for restaurants in this area. When we arrived the restaurant it was busy but there were a number of empty tables in a front section. One of the staff said that they were booked but could get us a table in the back. Thought that would be ok but little did we know that it was a dedicated room for smokers and I really mean smokers! We are from California and it was unbearable. We asked if we could sit somewhere else and he said that it would be at least a 40 minute wait. Being very hungry and a bit tired having driven in from Vienna just before dinner, we decided to just try and bear it. The staff member tried to be helpful by opening another door to help the air circulate a bit more but it didn't help matters much. I had dined in Paris restaurants before the ban in January of 2008 and had never seen this many diners smoke at the frequency that the ones in our section did. The term "chain smokers" was most applicable here. The food was actually very good as was the pricing. The service was also attentive and efficient. So what could have been an enjoyable dinner with solid food and service ended up being marginal at best. I originally wanted to give a poor rating but felt that it would been a much better experience in the non smoking part of the restaurant. Also on the way out and believe me we didn't stay that long, I saw that the front section that was supposed to have been reserved had only 2 tables occupied out of 7. That was a bit disturbing. We also had to air out our clothes on our balconies and take another shower it was that bad. If you do come here and are sensitive to cigarette smoke, don't even contemplate taking a table in that room. It's just much better to wait if you can. Hopefully the country of Austria will ban smoking in restaurants one day.

Excellent Restaurant in the city centre of Ebensee with austrian up to international kitchen. Big variety of national wines, friendly staff and traditional up to modern furniture. Big garden restaurant under old threes invites to stay from dusk till dawn.
Cosy interior, very friendly and helpful staff (dealing well with my poor german), very good food for quite acceptable price. The service was excellent, food and drinks were served within very short time. Credit cards are accepted. If I'd visit Ebensee again, I will definitely come back again.Dear Guest!Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review, we are very glad that you made such a good experience in our restaurant as you wrote. We will be glad to welcome you again and wish you a happy easter!Kind regardsAndreas Leitner, Owner
