We took a day trip to Wisemanâs Ferry on Sunday 28/4/19. We saw advertising signs for Busbyâs Cafe Restaurant that said open breakfast, lunch and dinner. I checked the website and it stated open on Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.We arrived at the restaurant at around 1:00 pm and it was closed so we went elsewhere. Very disappointing. I would suggest if wanting to visit this restaurant that - despite what the website and other advertising suggests - you call ahead to see if they are open.

Dining in the award winning Riverbend Restaurant is a highlight of any visit with our talented chefs producing an array of culinary delights. We buy many of our ingredients from local suppliers to obtain the freshest and finest seasonal produce available.
Mixed feelings ......We booked early on a Wednesday for the evening. They wanted us to eat at 6pm but relented to 7pm when we pushed as that was a little early for us. It was not a busy night but the male waitperson was not at all friendly and I felt he barely tolerated us. We did not have an entree but the main came quickly and were very tasty. I had the Roasted Muscovy duck breast with celeriac remoulade, poached cherries & wild rocket GF M $28 and my husband had the Emerald Valley eye fillet with pomme puree, winter vegetables & pink peppercorn jus GF $36We added sides of greens and chips but these really were not needed as the mains were quite substantial. The deserts were a little disappointing. My husband had the Sticky fig pudding with butterscotch sauce & fig and brandy ice creamI had the Mango pannacotta with lychee, orange & passionfruit salad Both were dry and didn't hold the flavour that was advertised. The venue was pleasant and the outdoor surrounding was beautiful overlooking a golf course. The picture advertised shows it being on the waters edge which it clearly wasn't and it was difficult to see any water view at all.

A friend I had lunch here.2 pieces of fish, 1 serve of chips and 2 cans of Coke. The bill was the equivalent of a main course at Aria!I don't mind paying for good food in a quality environment but sitting under a corrugated iron roof eating overpriced food is beyond the pale.I've eaten here before and noticed the Tripadvisor Excellence award. Not sure what for, but things sure must have changed since the award was given out.
