Absolutely fabulous meal and service. My husband and I visited for dinner, the service was excellent, the ladies friendly and attentive. We had the seafood spaghetti and the seafood pizza, scrumptious. Lovely selection of wines and craft beer. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. Would definitely recommend!!

Started with champagne ordered and white wine delivered, understandable error given they were both 42 degrees south and this was rectified quickly. Ordered a WA Chardonnay from the wine list only to find out it was not available, same story for choices two and three. If you have run out of wine change the menu, it was only typed. Entree was Oysters Kilpartick and fair at best, mains were excellent, but I had to stop eating to find someone the seat some people who had been waiting for absent wait staff. After I had nearly got over the wine availability shock, we discovered that there was no menu of scotches or desert wines available and we were advised if we wanted a cognac or anything else not on the drinks menu then we had to go to the bar. Seriously this is not good enough for any restaurant. To top this of one of the waiters being defensive and rude does not help. Change just a couple of things and this would have been a four star experience.

My husband had fish and chips, which he said was good. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with extra Napoli sauce (as so many places just put a smear of tomato paste instead of real sauce) - my chicken parmi was pretty good, I must say - a good amount of sauce (though even more would have been good). The vegetables were good too, not over cooked. The quantity was a generous serve. The wine list however could do with some review. The choice was poor. Those wines offered were the cheapest you can get......awful! Such a shame that there wasn’t a good wine to go with the good food. Will go back there however when I want a good pub meal.

Driving through looking for lunch, walked past and saw some great deals advertised. We were amazed by a chicken burger, chips and 250ml coke for $8. Walked in and greeted with friendly service even a free sample chip each. How often do you get a free chip to try?So we got 2 of the $8 burger deals. Huge serving and great taste with very pleasant and quick service. He even recommended with drive 10 minutes up the road to the Bay of Fires so we did. Great tourist attractions especially after seeing photos whilst waiting for lunch in the shop.Worth stopping by, it was a nice day so we went down to the foreshore and ate our meals with the seagulls which also provided plenty of entertainment watching them fight

We had a meal there based on the reviews. Half full meal area, many appeared to be locals. It appeared to be a fun place to be. Queues for food and drinks, it took nearly 10 minutes for 5 people to be served in the food queue, the drink line cleared quickly.Menu didn’t excite, lots of chicken, one fried seafood platter, fried scallops, seafood linguine. We went for the roast of the day, turned out well, it was a good choice. The rest, I’m not so sure.

This is the second time I've been to Parkside for breakfast, with two different groups of people, and I've booked in for my third brekky next weekend (that pretty much tells the story.) The menu selection is small, which is good, because they've focussed on producing excellence. Between we four we sampled half the menu and every meal was delicious. Great service from Kristie who was observant and available whenever we needed anything, but not hovering - that great balance that natural hospitality stars seem to effortlessly achieve. The views from Parkside are gorgeous, no matter the weather. Highly recommended for great food, great service and a great outlook.Thank you Leanne for visiting Parkside Bar and Kitchen and for your recommendation - much appreciated! We have an amazing team of hospitality professionals delivering quality food and exceptional service. Kristie will be delighted the service she provided met with your expectation and that you enjoyed your dining experience. We're definitely spoilt with our location overlooking Georges Bay - many of our guests linger after breakfast and lunch just to soak in the view.We look forward to welcoming you again on Sunday - all the best, Meredith

After finding our booked accommodation rather less than expected, we were delighted to find The Wharf Bar and Kitchen on our escape walk. We booked for dinner and, when we returned a little earlier than expected, were greeted warmly and offered our table. We chose to first have a cocktail in the bar and, to our delight, a vodka martini was happily shaken for us. The views from this place are magical and the food was excellent. The staff are young and delightful and, all in all, this was the best thing about St Helens for us. It really made our overnight stop worth doing.

Technically excellent French food elevated by superior service. We had 3 courses from the new Spring menu. Amuse bouche achieved its aim - spontaneous smiles at the first bite. Even better, while we passed on the amuse bouche for DD (she is anti-cheese), a non-cheese version appeared. Highlight of the evening was speaking with the chefs/owners, Stefaan and Jonathan. Their passion for fresh produce and the food they serve is fabulous. For families, this is not a restaurant with a kids’ menu - this suited us but might not suit all.
