We had a great time tasting wine at Lake Moodemere, and were lucky enough to have the winemaker Michael guide us through the tasting.Seven generations of Michael's family have been on the land and it shows as they are passionate, welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed hitting some golf balls to try and win $1000 of wine. The setting is beautiful on the lake. We wish we had some more time to stay for lunch under the trees. We enjoyed meeting all the dogs too!

Loving this new Rutherglen cafe, the couches and morning sun make this a perfect "book and newspaper" cafe. The food was great quality.

The Victoria is a comfortable country pub, with plenty of dining space, bar with open fire and a large beer garden. The food is very good, with great tasting steaks cooked to perfection, just the way you want them. The staff and publican are extremely friendly people and they encouraged us to stay comfortably at our table as long as we pleased. Prices are good and the wine list significantly features Rutherglen varieties, which gives an opportunity to explore these fantastic, highly regarded vintages. Families are made very welcome. We'll be back to this one.

A nicely appointed cafe offering on street, courtyard or indoor seating which offers a good selection of breakfast options. Our choices were Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado and Corn fritters with relish mushroom and a poached egg. Both well presented and very tasty. Coffee also good. Staff pleasant and efficient. On a sunny morning the courtyard was a lovely spot to sit. Well worth a visit.

Pickers made brunch, lunch specials cakes, sweet treats, jam & relish. Locally roasted coffee from Beechworth, Chai, milkshakes & iced chocolate. Great collection of advertising collectables & Afl merchandise.
Our family of four adults had a great breakfast at the Pickers Cafe. The food was delicious and the setting quirky making for an interesting venue to visit. The cakes, slices, scones, soup and pies are all home made and the scones, in particular, looked amazing! We had a wonderful hour dining and browsing the store and would highly recommended a visit.

Thousand Pound Wine Bar and Store was developed by Denis Lucey (Bottega Melbourne) and the All Saints Estate siblings, Eliza, Angela and Nicholas Brown. It is a relaxed venue, with contemporary interior and bar seating which sets a new scene for Ruthergle
We could have been in an alley way in Sydney or Melbourne, but no we were in country Rutherglen. The style, ambience, service and food was "best city" at a country price and location. Excellent refreshing menu. The Wine menu was a mix of local and intriguing other reasonably priced.

Sit and enjoy the breathtaking views overlooking the 100 year old Caliope vineyard at Buller Wines. Lunch is served from 11am till 3pm Wednesday thru Sunday with dinners and events (weddings etc) available by appointment. Great range of Buller Wine, craft
Our first ever visit to Rutherglen and as we have enjoyed the delights of Bullerâs Muscat for many years, it was on the top of our list to visit their cellar door. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting their extensive wine range and especially their delectable Grand Muscat and Rare Muscatâs. Therefore we decided to stay and have the Chefâs Tasting Menu for lunch at Ripe. What can I say â sensational delicious food: Chestnut soup spiked with muscat, Berkshire pork belly, Confit Milawa Duck and Sticky Date Pudding, all enjoyed with a glass of Shiraz and finished off with a glass of Muscat of course. Amazing.

Wonderful local town place to have lunch. Food was delicious, well presented and reasonably priced.Enjoyed Gnocchi with fresh peas and asparagus and pecorino and a tasty Lambs Fry special with mash. Tasted a few wines at the bar.... nice touch.... before deciding on Campbellâs Cabernet Sauvignon. Great way to start our Rutherglen tasting adventure. The lovely friendly staff added to the experience.

Spent a night in Rutherglen so we could visit Taste (and Campbellâs Wines). We ordered wine, my partner had the mushroom gnocchi (entree size) and I had pizza. Both were excellent. Gnocchi was perfectly cooked with lots of mushrooms and the pizza (from the brewery side of the venue) was one of the best Iâve had in a while - great crust, really fresh tomatoes and very good quality ingredients. Price was so reasonable I at first thought something was left off the bill.We were the first customers in on a Wednesday night but the restaurant was nearly full within the hour, mostly with locals. Restaurant team was obviously doing things right.Weâll definitely be back on out next trip to Rutherglen.Highly recommended.
