This is our local and within walking distance from our house. We have been there a handful of times for breakfast and were always happy with our meals and the service! We decided to go for breakfast this morning, We ordered drinks first, orange juice for me, iced coffee for my partner and a choc milkshake for our 3 year old! Even though it was a hot day we decided on sitting outside in a shady spot under the tree, drinks were served within 5 minutes and were nice and refreshing our 3 year old gulped down the choc milkshake and said it was yummy! We ended up sitting inside while waiting for our meals as it was getting too hot outside, it was nice and cool inside with the a/c on! Our meals were served quickly and were delicious. I tried the eggs benedict for the first time and loved it! my partner got the big breakfast and our daughter shared some of his meal, they were both pleased with their meal. If you're in Richmond check this place out the meals are delicious, prices are good and the service is excellent!
The Second Home Cafe is a premium cafe with a wide range of coffees, fresh food & fresh juices. We are well known for coffees, breakfast options, burgers, salads and our vegan food. We also serve the popular Coffee in Cone.
This newly-renovated cafe in the Main Street of Richmond has been going for a couple of months, and looks very inviting from the street. My husband and I decided to give it a go for lunch today. Weâre locals, and knew it as The Right Bite for years. Itâs a long room with a nice courtyard out the back. At 11:30 on a Saturday morning it was quite busy, with a very nice ambience, friendly waitstaff and a detailed menu with interesting choices. We ordered coffees, plus a prawn bruschetta and a half-serve of Turkish bread and vegemite. The coffees ($4) came out fairly quickly. Mine was great, with a proper crema, good flavour and decently hot. His was average, weak, and a thin, white crema. Weird, as there was only one barista. There was then a long delay (25 minutes) before the food came out. Too long, for a bit of toast and bruschetta. The bruschetta ($18), was really good. Six prawns, tomato, Spanish onion and avocado on excellent seeded bread. Turkish vegemite toast ($3) was yummy. At the register, they listed the coffees at $4.50 before I picked up their mistake. We were given a free coffee card for next time - a nice touch. Overall, thereâs room for improvement here. The main boxes are ticked: good food, well-priced, nice staff, pleasant room. This business is in a strip bristling with cafes, and competition is strong. We are rusted-on aficionados at Cafe Relish, a few doors down, but plan to give Second Home a Second Try!! Hi Julie,Thank you so much for reviewing us and for your kind words. We are very happy to know that you liked our food ,coffee and cafe. Looking forward to serve you again!

Dropped in on Friday for quick coffee and frittata. It's a cute little place with a nice outdoor seated area. We ordered some coffees and two frittatas and a potato bake. Our coffees come out after 15 mins and they are nice. Our food comes out another 15 mins. The cafe was not busy and their food is reheated in a microwave, not sure why it took so long. Once the food arrives, it's all wrong, 3 plates of vege bake. We wait another 10 mins for the correct order. Frittatas were too oily but the potato and bacon bake was nice. This place has so much potential and with some good management and waitstaff it could be awesome. I will try this place again, maybe they were having an off day.

My wife and I have been coming here on and off for the past ten years or so. The food here is always good, and the coffee is excellent. The service can take a little longer when they get busy, but we've never had a bad experience. The menu changes on occasion, but the basics remain the same, and the staff are pretty good. Thanks HarlequinsMask! We took our time researching to find the best coffee (Adore) and it is really nice to have that feed back. Thank you.We pride ourselves on excellent food that satisfies (you don't go away hungry).Cheers

Barrels & Ashes offers a modern Australian menu with a smokehouse twist alongside an exceptional bar offering that champions excellent whiskey, creative cocktails & an extensive array of spirits⦠We are located in Richmond, in the beautiful Hawkesbury reg
We arrived with a group of about 16 people for a birthday celebration! Greeted by welcoming staff, an open fire and great decor, this place gets the small details right. We devoured the meat platter, $150 for an absolute feast, it fed 4 of us with leftovers for tomorrowâs lunch! Quality beers on tap and a nice selection of boutique stuff in the fridge. Bar man really knows his stuff and crafted some great cocktails - try the jalepeno watermelon! An excellent wine list and the whisky is on point! Everyone had a great night, the service was good and the ambience of the place ties it all together. A great spot to enjoy a nice meal and a celebration! Thanks so much for taking the time to review us. The team at Barrels & Ashes really appreciates your feedback. Super glad you enjoyed your time with us and hope to see you again soon!

We went to The Royal Hotel on 2 consecutive Saturday evenings. On the first Saturday there was a very nice young blonde girl serving behind the bar. She was very polite and welcoming. We ordered 2 steaks 2 fish and chips and a chicken dish. All were very good. On the following Saturday there was a young dark haired girl serving behind the bar who was totally opposite to the blonde bar person the previous week. When I asked for a Heineken lager and lime she proceeded to put the lime into the neck of the bottle. When I said at 70 yrs of age I wasnât going to sit and drink my drink from the bottle I wanted a glass she huffed and puffed. The food order was also taken by her in a most unfriendly fashion.

My apologies if Ugly Mug Mt Tomah not related to Ugly Mug Richmond. If I learn it is unrelated I will delete this review. Only had coffee, so cant comment on the food. I was desperate for coffee after an early morning exploration of Mt Wilson & this seemed only option. Unfortunately the quality of the coffee was terrible. Overheated milk & bland bad tasting coffee. When desperate for caffeine it has to be pretty bad coffee for me not to finish the cup, but thats what happened. Honestly I have had better instant coffee than this. Would go without coffee rather than try this place again
