Set in the grounds of Pentridge Prison, Coburg, The Boot Factory café is steeped in history. The building dates back to the 1850s, it was once part of the Coburg penitentiary where well behaved prisoners worked making shoes & boots for the prison guards.
Very busy, so took a while to get everything, but servers did their best and were friendly and helpful. Good choice of breakfasts and plenty for the vegetarians. Great eggs benedict. Good coffee too.Hi Chookybirdy, thanks for leaving us a great review =) We do get very busy so we appreciate your kindness and patience... we pride ourselves on being able to offer something delicious for everyone no matter the dietary requirement, so we're glad it doesn't go unnoticed. We hope to welcome you back again soon for more good food and drink!

Unique little find in Thornbury on the #86 tram line.Delicious and nutritious brunch with lots of options to choose from!Staff were knowledgeable and understanding of the dietary needs (an paranoia) of a Coeliac and assured us they have a separate area in the kitchen to prepare food. Plate size is generous and the food is fantastically presented! We loved it so much we went back the next day! Very highly recommended.

Excellent service, prompt and friendly wait staff and plate to table time excellent. However, the omlette was dull with little taste or texture. With the combination of ingredients, goats cheese, spiced cauliflower and parsley I expected some great flavours. Not the case. Disappointing.

Impressive cafe serving exceptionally presented dishes. Recommend the red velvet hot cakes. StAli coffee also went down well. Special mention for the female Barista with shoulder length black hair, who greeted everyone with a smile as they came in (and left). Made me feel most welcome. Iâll be back.

The Stolberg takes pride in our diverse food and beverage offering to cater to all walks of life. We boast a vegan and vegetarian friendly menu with plenty of gluten free options. An extensive wine list along with craft beer and cocktails we have just wha
Just hosted a function for a large group of friends and family and the Stolberg and found the venue to be one of the best Iâve ever been too. There are 5 different function rooms here to cater for different size and types of functions. The function staff and bar management staff were very attentive and accommodating with our requests. The food was just awesome and all of our guests thought there was plenty of food, and the quality of the food was exceptional.Iâve recommended this venue to our friends and am sure thereâs a few who would be considering booking their functions here in the near future.Iâd definitely return for my next function and itâs also a great place even to have a beer and food too!

I chose the Chilli Feta scrambled eggs on gluten free toast: wow! It was incredibly tasty and light & fluffy. Top marks! I also had peppermint tea and it was presented with an English bone China cup & saucer! A nice touch. The staff were very friendly and I loved the dining experience !Highly recommended.

We had a lovely afternoon at Northern Git when a family member held an after christening gathering at the venue. The family had the venue exclusively. The space was enough to hold over 70 people some sitting some standing with room to move around and a display table for the presents and cakes. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The food was plentiful, tasty and a good variety of finger food that came out in rounds.Chicken satay sticksCroquettes Falafel wraps Duck pancakesGnocchiFish and chipsKataifi wrapped prawnsGreat venue for small to medium celebrationsThey also offer off site catering as

Like others, we also were a little disappointed with the low level of service. My motto is simply, happy to pay the higher end for our meals but the service must match the pricing. Non attentive, slow and other than for one staff member, unfriendly! Our meals on the other hand were magnificent! We went with the degustation menu, one vegetarian and one no seafood. The textures and combination of flavours combined with creativity was a credit to the team of chefs. Every meal was really a beautiful experience.

I have to admit this is not the sort of place Iâd normally visit, but I was pleasantly surprised - particularly by the service and food. When we arrived it was packed at 6pm on a sunday night. There were families and lots of blokes. It was bustling and smoky! We started with the KFC - Kentucky fried cauliflower - which was nice and crunchy. However, the real star here is the meat. We shared lamb ribs (soft and unctuous), the grilled spatchcock (moist and smoky), plus the caramel wagyu ribs - which were a sensation. We thought it all just needed a few more veges. The slaw was OK, the mash was nice and plates also came with grilled bread. The overall dishes were not pretty, but uber tasty. The service was friendly and we were kept up to date about our order, which had been delayed. There were vego options - and people were raving about the meat donuts. Maybe next time!
