Our group of 4 called in for lunch. The day was bitter but the view of the waves was stunning. Our choices were mainly for fish, and all 4 were different. I had the ocean platter which was quite large, nicely prepared and presented. Generally good but the grilled fish was a little below par. Another in our group had the garlic prawns and enjoyed same. Overall ok. Service was good, staff were friendly, price was reasonable.

The Bay Pizzaria

When visiting the bay pizzaria a few weeks ago, we didn’t realise there was live music on. Upon arrival we walked in to sardines squished in a tin. Way too many people in one place that was way to squished. People lining up to order and we couldn’t even sit in our seats. Perhaps table service would make this a better situation for customers..? Another down side was we couldn’t fit our legs under the table and had to all sit to the side. Live music is great but when a small echo place like this has live music blasting.. we couldn’t even sit and enjoy talking to the people around us. Could not hear from one side of the table to the other. Food is fine, but not a very comfortable experience.

Driving back at dusk from the Lighthouse ruins and thought we’d get some milk and some chips from here. We ended up getting fish and chips for dinner to warm us up after been out on the cold and windy cliffs at dusk. Bought them back to our unit we were staying at. Opened up the wrapping and found the paper was covered in grease – very oily. The chips were Ok. Flake in batter was cooked nicely though.
