We are a group of friends who meet each week for a coffee date. We pick somewhere each week. This was our first time at Claudies having heard good opinions. We loved the ambience inside. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our group of 12 had lots of space . Coffee was good and table service prompt and efficient. We loved that we could each pay separately. We will be back!!

Romeo and JulietLike its name sake our wedding anniversary dinner at the Romeo ended up on a sad note. ! In fact it did not start off well at all!Located the underground at the rear of the long bar is this intimate fine dining venue Being underground it was a long flight of steps to reach to please and being disabled by the time I got there I was one quarter dead. We were met by the restaurant manager, Michele introduce us to the staff who would be serving us at evening. The entry is rather interesting having come down a long flight of steps the flyer consist of a seafood bar fresh tantalising seafood which almost made us declined the celebrity chef menu for the delicious seafood!! There was live Alaskan crab super fresh snapper Oysters And a multitude of Seafoods!!Just so sad that we could not partake of it that evening! However we had reserved the celebrity chefs degustation menu. Gusepi was in town for only a week and he had brought with him a full bag of white truffles from the Tuscany region. we were so looking forward to his mouth watering salvinating menu. We were lead to the table and the chef de cuisine Enrico introduced us to the menu. The five of us and I will guess chose the media as installed however my wife and I being rather difficult again Chose to change some of the items. My dear wife doesn't eat anything which is not cooked I did so the tuna tartar was out. I am allergic to beef cheek that defeated that 16 hour slow cooked dish In this place in Rico offered a special cooked seafood entree base on the scampi lobster oyster etc. my wife states this was really well done and flavours truly awesome. I found the original seafood platter only beautifully presented but the freshness and effort made in combining the caviar and other fresh seafood out of this world. The photograph doesn't do it justice but the baby loves look just so cute I couldn't help but eat it all !The dinner was six costs and the next outstanding item was the vegetable beef soup. Really evoked memories of my recent trip to the region and to think this could be duplicated in Asia in competition with its wonderful street food saying something! The highlight of the dinner was the beef cheeks for my guests and a tenderloin fillet for my wife and myself. I have my meet rare n My wife likes a thoroughly cooked beyond well done. Tendinitis not easy to cook and it's not to dry out very easily however my wife's well done tenderloin was thoroughly well done, Still noist and flavoursome with and nice caramelised finished all round. I'm not sure who did the cooking Enrico or GuSeppi I wife thoroughly enjoyed it. On the other hand and in contrast my tenderloin was cooked perfectly ready and also with the wonderful then caramelisation of the Fillet. Before dinner I had warned Enrico that if the steak was not perfect I would send back. At this point most chefs would overcompensate and present the steak rare and still bleeding. A rare steak is blue and the meat well rested and thoroughly worn. I didn't send any of the steak back!!!The crowning glory of the meal was it a chocolate mousse that the Pistachio crumble ice cream. Need I say it was more than perfectHowever all things aside there are shortcomings. Service was professional and prompt in fact too prompt in that the delivery of the plates to the table was a bit rushed and the waitress in her shyness rush through the exclamation of the dish. The venue is a bit hidden away but yes decoration and the true ambience of a fine dining establishment is as good as La Bernadine in New York or any two or three Star Michelin restaurant in Europe A big well done to Michelle for presenting a fine celebratory anniversary dinner. The sad note at the end ! We had to leave ! Wish the memory will stay forever but our taste buds will never again be pleasured like it had been!Hello, I think you may have the wrong restaurant. We have been to Church on Palmer twice in the past couple of months. We chose the set menu for one meal and menu choice for another. Neither disappointed. Food is always fantastic, compliments to the chef's however our last visit was rather noisy so was difficult to hear. We will be back.

The Paddock & Brew Company is an American inspired smokehouse restaurant & Craft Beer Bar. Locally sourced, community minded & totally tasty meat & beer.
The whole experience was a let down from the moment we walked in. The girl on the front counter pointed to our booked table and just said its that one over there instead of seating us. We were served quickly, but our drinks arrived after our entrees. The pulled pork cigars were delicious. After our entrees were finished the plates remained on the table until the mains arrived. We actually had to rearrange the used plates ourselves so the waiter could put the mains on the table! My husband had the ribs which were actually really good flavour and presentation. I had the build your own plater with the brisket and pork belly and a side of Mac n Cheese. Both meats were dry and almost cold and they were served on a plain white plate just piled in the middle. Zero presentation and the Mac n Cheese was actually served on my husband's plate. We left without ordering desert or more drinks because we were that disappointed with our experience. The craft beers on tap weren't working and at one point the waiter tried to deliver us drinks We didn't order. We had heard good things from locals so maybe they were just having a bad night but we won't be going back to find out, the service was that terrible it couldn't save the hit and miss quality of the food.

Went for dinner with friends..nice menu but pricey. Steaks were around $50 plus had to pay for sauces separately and the steak came with greens..no chips..no potato of any sort. So..that will be an additional $8. I would recommend that they review this arrangement as customers will not return.SwampyLI have no idea how this review is relevant or a true representation of our restaurant as itâs not correct. All steaks we sell include salad/chips and sauce. ⢠300g Grass-fed Grasslands premium natural Angus Sirloin $30⢠350g Grain-fed prestige Black Angus Rib Fillet $42 ⢠250g Grain-fed prestige Black Angus Eye fillet $46⢠600g Grain-fed prestige Black Angus OP Rib Eye $58Choice of Dianne sauce/pink pepper sauce or mushroom sauce served with crisp fries and choice of wok tossed veggies or green crunchy salad with Goddess dressing. Also have the option of upgrading to sweet potato fries for $4.This is how the menu reads and how every steak is served even our Thursday night special Rib Eye for the steak guy which is a 350g Rib Eye for $25. Happy to discuss further if you wish. Regards.

Iâm so used to poor service the speed and efficiency of the team last night was a little overwhelming. Thats not a criticism, I should have asked them to hold off between courses because the night was going too fast and I didnât want it to end. Havenât had to do that in decades. Nice music, calm, warm and intimate atmosphere. Food was outstanding. Meat melts in the mouth, flavours expansive and complex, great range of textures it was an experience not often found especially in Mackay. Prices were reasonable, $135 for three course for two of us.If I were to nit pick, the sticky date pudding was a little disappointing because it was a tad dry and felt like it was microwaved from the freezer. The sauce was perfect though and the vanilla bean sorbet top notch. But letâs face it, it very likely was and canât expect them to mix up a batch upon order and bake on the spot. The poached pear - top notch with just the right amount of ginger. Creamy sauce, crumbles and the pear in the middle made for the full suit of textures. Loved it.Hi WombatJonesThanks for your support. We will certainly follow up your suggestions. I will let the team know your 5 stars review.Cheers. David. Jesus loves you.
