The Chairman is a new cafe located in Heidelberg Melbourne. The Chairman serves delicious food, great coffee and has a warm, trendy atmosphere.
An interesting cafe off Bell St opposite the car yards provides an all day menu of typical breakfast fare and a selection of toasties/sandwiches/saladsGluten free is available by replacement of the bread (not sure if cooked on a separate grill)Our 'easy & light' snack of toasted ham sandwiches included rather thick slices (off the bone?) ham rather than the shaved ham indicated on the menuObviously popular with the local workers but, for us with our selection, it will not be our first choice in the Heidelberg area.

Went here for lunch. I had the bunless mushroom burger which came with fries (I chose the sweet potato ones). My companion had the smashed avo. My meal was delicious. Fortunately for my companion I couldn't finish everything because her meal was rather sparse although she said that it was very nice. We both had coffees which were nice and my companion had the carrot cake. I opted for the vegan lime slice which wasn't the best. Friendly staff. I noticed that they are open weekdays and saturday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. and sundays from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Wow. Just wow! Iâve written hundreds and hundreds of reviews, in fact thousands and this place totally rocked me and my family and friends today. Located right opposite Rosanna station and with plenty of parking, itâs centrally located. With seating outside for around 20-30 but could probably hold 80+ inside, this was around 2/3rds full at midday. We sat in the corner at a high table and watched the amazing meals being served. Clearly the portion sizes were big - so be aware when ordering. Between seven of us we had the waffles, smashed avocado, poached eggs on toast, wavy burger, Bircher muesli and I think the Hunters Garden. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering so fast service. Drinks were good and have to say the iced chai (with ice cream) was a great considering it off sugar. Wheelchair friendly. Very kid friendly. Takeaway food available. Toilets clean. Note that the service was great and nothing was too much trouble. Take note cafe owners - this is why Melbourne is the cafe capital of Australia. Well done everyone at Hunter Lane Cafe.

Vasko is open for lunch mon-fri, dinner mon-sat, and sunday for pre-arranged private functions. Vasko boasts a unique family presence, and a successful fusion of contemporary cuisine with a strong Mediterranean flavour, and they can't wait to share this e
This friendly and family owned and operated restaurant care about their customers and deliver delicious food. They have a very clear understanding of catering for someone whoâs Coeliac - first hand. They also understand fructose intolerance. The staff will help guide you though whatâs possible if food intolerances are part of your life. The dishes are quite large as is quite normal with Italian restaurants, the flavours are lovely. Have eaten here a few times over the last 4 years, always delightful.Thank you fifiB07! We understand the frustration that those with dietary requirements face when eating out. We will always strive to make people with dietary requirements feel at ease when dining @ Vasko, instead of feeling alienated. Thank you again!

Recently visited the Old England Hotel for a special event between 15th May - 26th May 2019, Duck & Pinot dining experience.Four choices of duck main meals with a different Pinot Noir to match.Partner did not choose one of the duck specials, but the Baby Veal off the main menu $29.90.Made comment the meal was very nice.I chose one of the duck specials - Braised Duck, sweet potato, chestnut and sage pie with rosti potato & fresh asparagus $26.90.Looked magnificent upon arrival.Taking the pastry top off the pie, there were lots of sweet potato cubes, chestnut slices, but where was the duck??Expecting some nice size pieces, only had tiny slivers, in total would have fitted on a teaspoon.Maybe my pie missed out in the preparation, but very disappointing as the rest of the meal on the plate was very good.On their website, the hotel lists all their awards they have received.Sadly, the most recent being 2012.Maybe the reason why this once very good establishment is getting a poor report.

My husband and I frequent this place almost weekly. The owners are lovely, the waiters are always enthusiastic, friendly and reliable and the food is always yummy.

Really disappointed with the service since the change of hands. Rude staff, used to have the best in area. Their FBook page only allows positive reviews and they delete feedback. If youâre not listening to customers then how can you improve? We went for 2 years most Saturdays and Sundays, advocated and spent circa $80 each weekend. If youâre looking for great service there are much better in the area.
Back to the Hub again this morning. Enjoyed my big breakfast very much, especially the Cypriot sausage the name of which momentarily escapes me. My coffee was lovely too. Service was warm and friendly. The Hub is recommended.Four months earlierThis cafe/bistro used to be known as Over the Road until a major renovation a number of months ago. The space has undergone substantial change and some lovely modifications have been made. It's more modern, orderly and coherent. The gifts that used to be dotted around the place are gone and it's more spacious now and warmer. Today we ordered the egg and bacon focaccia with chili jam. It was very nice and made for a hearty lunch. We finished it off with coffees and a scientifically halved salted caramel cookie. The cookie belongs with the foods served to the angels in heaven. I felt significant psychological pain finishing my half. My coffee was ok but not one I'd include in a hall of fame. It's a nice place and some of the other dishes looked fantastic.
