They have BBQ chicken, fish and chips, kebabs, Turkish breads, salads etc. We had chicken and chips on a Friday night. Shop was pretty busy and it took a while for our food to be ready, but that's understandable. Quality of food was just OK.
Called into this cafe on the way to Melbourne to have lunch. We found the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our various requests. The fast food was better than many bakehouses - The chicken and salad wrap was made from fresh ingredients and was sufficient for two of us. The chicken schnitzel burger made with one of the bakehouse's fresh buns was tasty. The latte coffee was well made and apple tree flavoured tea had the most beautiful smell. For afters we tried two slices and a tart. All were made onsite. The apple slice was the best I have tasted in decades and it brought back many a childhood memory. This cafe is well worth a visit.

Stopped in for an early coffee and breakfast on the run. Ordered a takeaway ham cheese tomato toasted sandwich. Coffee was good, nice and strong. Toastie was great. Plenty of filling and large sized bread

Our family have visited the Gisborne Bakery and Cafe a few times now for lunch. Located in central Gisborne, parking is easy within the Gisborne Village shopping precinct. The bakery is still relatively new and country style decor within make it a new place to call in for a bite to eat and a drink. There's a fair bit of room inside to get a table. We've tried the pies, sausage rolls and pasties which are fresh and quite tasty. Their slices are also quite good. Prices are reasonable as well.Overall, a family favourite of ours to visit.

Meals still good but the move to the bistro room seems to have coincided with a drop in the hotel Service has also slipped and consistently difficult to get served even when you have to go to the counter signalling too few staff

Jed is a Paleo Inspired Cafe that features plenty of Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Refined Sugar Free treats baked on site. We change our Breakfast Menu seasonally, our lunch specials are a smaller menu that change frequently and we like to include a good r
Jedâs in Gisborne is a comfortable, informal spot with tasty brunch/lunch menu, the restaurant moved from a funky crowded space to a larger more austere premises. I prefer the former location for its atmosphere. I loved the scrambled green eggs which was scrambled eggs with a healthy twist, otter go-to dishes include the avo smash and breakfast menu.

The 3 Little Pigs is a busy and popular cafe. We enjoyed great coffee and good service. We sat outside as the weather was great but inside the cafe it is spacious and not too noisy. There was a good array of light food and cakes. I also loved the idea of the book exchange.

Had lunch here with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Had the flake and chips and it was lovely. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. OK range of wine but I think the beer list is bigger. Only negatives, no atmosphere, and the tables are placed far too close together. Having said that, this is a place I will return to.

Canteena is an exciting addition to the Gisborne café scene. Come to 18 Prince Street (behind the Gisborne Central Shopping Centre) and find a warm, cosy and quiet café known for great food with an exciting ethnic twist. We are open for breakfast and lunc
Friends & I regularly meet at Canteena, after our tri-weekly walks. Coffee, tea & cakes go down extremely well! Staff are always most welcoming & caring of patrons. All these qualities, & the ambience, make Canteena one of our best local spots.I can also recommend the lunches - worth frequent returns! The restaurant opens on Friday & Saturday evenings, & I've thoroughly enjoyed my few dinners Thank you Ian for reviewing Canteena. We are greatly thankful for your appreciation of the overall dining experience. Your positive comments have been shared with the team. We look forward to seeing you soon. Best Regards, Manager
