Convenient spot in the main tourist area. If eating you can use the car park and this helped on a busy Sunday. Food was ok, service was a little slow but not unexpected given the crowds. We did not have to book. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Hi,Thanks so much for coming in on Sunday and yes, Sunday was extremely busy being the start of the holidays but glad you enjoyed you visit, and thank you for your lovely comments about our amazing staff. They really are exceptional. Thanks again,Team MTVW

Pethers Rainforest Restaurant is proud of its reputation as one of south east Queensland's most romantic dining experiences. Our intimate restaurant is set around a massive open sided and elevated fire place and overlooks pristine rainforest. Our chef pro
Simply superb on all levels! We were only there for one night, but would have gladly stayed on longer. The rainforest environment is instantly impressive. The large windows in the treehouse are in perfect proportion to the room and balcony, which I guess would be close to 80m2!The fireplace was very efficient with its low/medium/high settings. The bottle of French champagne was chilled as requested! The dressing gown, complementary slippers and eye shades were much appreciated! The king sized bed was very comfortable too.Unfortunately the restaurant is only open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so we made-do with an OK Italian meal in Main Street.Thank you to Chris and everyone else at Pethers.Highly recommended!Dear Warren D, Thank you kindly for your lovely review of our treehouses and restaurant. It is so lovely to hear you found it impressive and comfortable! I do hope we can welcome you back to Pethers in the near future, perhaps for a longer stay to be able to enjoy more of Tamborine Mountains varied attractions! Warmest regards,Shona PhilpsGeneral Manager

We were lured in by the chalkboard special in what can be described as a very overpriced area. The meal was nice and the service was good. But fair dinkum, take a picnic up with you to the top of the mountain. The mountain is very expensive and this place had a few chalkboard menus that brought the price down. We ordered the special off the board and got to BLT sandwiches and two cans of diet coke and that cost us $35.

Dropped in to the Fortitude Brewery for lunch on a Monday. The brewery has a wide selection of beers plus a cheese shop next door. Sadly the stout was not available and after a busy weekend the ingredients for a cheese platter were quite limited. Ginger beer was delicious and we enjoyed the beer sampler. Good range of pizzas. We had the Margarita and it was great. They have live music on weekends so that would be the best time to visit.

Songbirds beautifully refurbished iconic restaurant offers diners a unique journey through a seasonal degustation menu combining classical French cooking techniques with modern Australian gastronomy. Combining some of the finest & rarest wines in the coun
Positives - service was outstanding and wine pairing and the hosts knowledge of the wines was amazing. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and the atmosphere and decor was 5 stars.Unfortunately some of the dishes were average and did not eat well. The golden egg was a strange option for a first course and was so salty it wasnât pleasant to eat. The trout dish was let down by the carrot juice on the side which didnât belong there and tasted strange. The trout itself was delicious. The risotto was delicious, but was cold by the time we broke the huge piece of nitrogen Parmesan into it. The Aspirin drink didnât have the desired result as the aspirin wouldnât dissolve in the eggy tasting liquid which was so thick we couldnât drink it or taste any finger lime. The desert was very rich and could have been better with some citrus to cut through the richness of the chocolate as the herbed moss didnât quiet do it. With some small tweaks to some of the dishes, I think it could be a lot better and a real success. Hello Keryn, Thank you for your considered feedback and choosing to dine with us on our first soft re-opening weekend. You are clearly and adventurous foodie and exactly the client we want to hear from as we evolve our award winning restaurant. Your comments have help us to develop our offering to the ambitious standards we are aiming for and we do hope to meet you again and welcoming you back to Songbirds.Best wishes from all of us here at Songbirds.

Pamper yourself with our version of the Ultimate Tea Experience at our Tearoom. You'll step back into a gentler, more romantic time offering all the grace and elegance of a fine European Tearoom, while savouring the delights of our High Teas, duration of
A lovely place to go to for a high tea. Inside or out the choice is yours. As it is quite popular best to book. Tables adorn the lawn and alcoves of a house situated in a lovely, whimsical garden. Parking at the front or if you take the next street and go around the back to parking galore. The high tea room is everything you expect....light and airy, nicely decorated with tablecloths. Friendly staff, willing to help especially when you have been forgotten in the crowd. Yes we had been sitting there for about half an hour without even a glass of water. A good reminder that we had not been served and we were off on our high tea adventure. A choice of tea or plunger coffee.... bottomless, started us.....after we got the sugar bowl refilled. Then our three tier treats arrived. Impressive, sandwiches nicely made and 3 other savouries, 3 scones each with jam and cream then an assortment of cakes and deserts, 4-5 pieces. Nice, dainty pieces that tasted as good as they looked, fresh and light. T-away containers were available luckily as we were full and nowhere near finished. In no hurry we took our time and waddled out about 3 hours later. Prices are not for the squeemish...@$45 you would expect everything you got...fine china and all.

As self funded retirees we are living on a comfortable but fixed budget. George's menu includes several reasonably prices lunches which we have frequently enjoyed. On our last visit in late July the place was changed in that the waiting staff were very keen to push certain "Specials" which were not discounted but actually rather expensive, they encourage you to order the "Specials" at a time when you have no access to a menu (to see their cost). They also offered breads and Greek salads in the same way. If you are on a limited budget I suggest you ignore the frequent requests to spend more (our waitress visited the table 4 or 5 times during our single course). Our main courses came a reasonable $44, but add on 1 Greek salad, 1 glass of house red, 1 black coffee and a 10% surcharge the bill came to $82. They do supply tap water for free, but serve it in the smallest glasses I have encountered.

Kitchen and cafe on Gallery Walk, Tamborine Mountain. Wild Plum Kitchen is about honest food with a homely vibe and a worldly flair, specialising in fresh, wholesome, tasty food and excellent coffee by Veneziano. All day brunch menu, salad selection made
This restaurant was recommended to us by a local person and we enjoyed it. My wife had a vegetable wrap and I had two brisket soft shell tacos. Both were very good and filling. The service was pretty quick and the staff was friendly. It was a bit cool and breezy outside, so we sat inside. Nice to have the option. We would definitely recommend it to friends.

Three Little Pigs believes in providing impeccable service and a classic dining atmosphere.
We dined here recently for dinner after seeing the great reviews. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and I would like to visit again when the weather is cooler and the fire is going. We ordered pork belly and spicy pork which was a generous size and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to visit.

We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch (pot pie, fish 'n' chips, chicken parmy) with fantastic views. There are plenty of tables inside and out with awesome views of the scenic rim. Service was fast for a busy bistro, with the service at the bar being slower. The 2 St. Bernards are a draw card, but sleeping when we visited. Would visit again for lunch.
