We came ere for brunch on Saturday morning, Had heard good reviews.First thing, Its noisy!!! could barely here what my husband was saying across from me,Second thing: its expensive, I added mushroom to my breakie for $4.00 and I got one ordinary flat mushroom!! so disappointed! Breakfast for 2 with a coffee each cost us $52?????? what the???? feel a little ripped off! Thirdly, the knives provided to cut our breakfast were only standard knives, which could barely cut anything, made it hard to enjoy because of the extra work to try and cut anything!Fourth thing!!! the Hollandaise sauce was a miss, too tangy and too much of it, had a funny smell to it as well. The only thing we liked was we've been there and done that now! Will not be returning.....its just too expensive and noisy!!

Imagine yourself in the time of the hunter and gatherer, when ancient ritual was sacred and nature was a force to be reckoned with. Hunter & Barrel is a visceral steak restaurant and bar experience that pays homage to the dawn of culinary tradition in a m
We came here and had the cheese dip, chicken skewers and pork belly. The food and service was above average, the food on this occasion was absolutely delicious. We would recommend to come at a less busy times, for the best experience.

Disappointment all around. We started with a sharing platter which had some interesting components, some very, very tough beef and some reasonably tasteless dips (but was missing one chicken skewer). We were about halfway through eating this when one of the staff approached and asked if we had finished. We clearly hadnât, and both we and the staff member were a little embarrassed. Almost immediately, another staff member asked us exactly the same thing. We said that we had not finished and she responded that the chef wanted to know when to start our main courses. We said he could start them, but were rather surprised. A very, very short time later, up comes another staff member to ask if we were finished. At this stage, we gave up and told her she could clear away the platter. We had not been dawdling - we were eating at a reasonable rate and, after all, itâs not a fast food venue. The girl cleared the table and - getting tiresome now - up comes the fourth staff member to ask if weâre ready for our mains. No pressure. The main courses arrived almost immediately and, obviously, they had been prepared too early and waiting under a heater to be brought out. The chips were horrible - leathery and far from fresh - and my steak was horribly fatty. I had to cut about a quarter of it off. I have never before seen my husband leave any Parmigiana but this time he left almost half of the meat and nearly all the chips. Itâs not the first time weâve been here nd weâve always enjoyed ourselves but not this time. It was very, very disappointing. (Also, the âbackgroundâ music was very loud.) On the positive side, there are certainly lots of members of staff available: we had four interrupt us because of the chefâs bad planning.

This is a regular favorite for brunch in the warmer months as we always opt to sit out on the deck. There are a couple of heaters, but we never seem to manage to get close enough. Inside is a bit cramped and subsequently noisy. Coffee is always good and food is great. Staff friendly and service sideways good

This cafe opens early and serves delicious coffee and food. I like the way the staff have concerns for the environment and you must have a reusable cup for takeaway coffee.Below the cafe is their store selling a variety of foodstuffs including peanut butter made on the spot. The staff in both sections are friendly and helpful. At busy times the parking lot can be full. It is not open on Sundays.

Leaf and Vine caters for Vegans,Vegetarians and Gluten free.Staff are friendly, experienced and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble.Saturday morning brunch was a delight. Their extensive menu offers something for everyone.Although fully packed food was delivered happily in a timely manner. The food was fresh, well cooked and beautifully presented.I was impressed when ordering our second round of coffee that the barista remembered our four individual orders, especially because it was so busy.Well done Leaf and VineWould not hesitate to recommend.

We are a family own and run business proud of what we do and have pride to deliver only the best for our customers from drinks to food
Littorios in main street Croydon can be busy but the service is pretty good.. A range of choices covering all tastes. They have an on site patisserie & I can honestly say the Greek style doughnuts are amazing.. Eat inside at tables or booths with a large deck outside for that alfresco option.. Pricing is comparable to others in the area.. Overall a good but busy place for a coffee, breakfast or lunch..

It's always pleasing wandering into The Brewery. A buzz of chatter always hits you of a happy place. Quick, happy attentive service, glorious type tapas plates. A selection of beers to suit. Love having a visit here.

Pretty simple really. I get the big breakfast everywhere I go. Itâs become a bit of a thing, and lately Iâve had a number of average ones from places with 4-5 star reviews.Bekendales ended my poor run and has set a new high benchmark against which all future breakfasts will now be judged. The photo wonât do it justice as I donât take pics of my food, or selfies, or use social media. So I felt like a bit of a goose taking this one and rushed one quick snap off. The breakfast is perfectly balanced and delicious. One large piece of sourdough toast. Scrambled eggs (my choice). Bacon medallions. Chorizo. Spinach. Tomato. Field mushroom. Beetroot relish. Feta. The chorizo is a touch spicy and the relish, spinach and feta help to even it out. Eggs were done to perfection. The feta was unlike any Iâve eaten and could be smeared like a paste onto any other component of the brekkie.Yum, yum.The establishment is well laid out, the music is good and it seems to mostly be busy. There is always a constant stream of locals stopping by to collect coffees, many of which seemed to be pre-ordered, and the staff seem to know everyone that comes in. I sat alone at the bench near the counter and couldnât help but overhear the conversations. All the staff are very friendly. My first visit here was about a month ago and I returned for the third time yesterday. I live about 100 kilometres away, so youâll realise how much I rate it when thereâs a hundred other places for me to get to sling the way. Simply the best big breakfast Iâve ever had. Worth every penny. Definitely worth a detour off the Maroondah Hwy to get here. You wonât be disappointed.
