I loved the fact that they fed us lunch at 3pm. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were very friendly. I really appreciated that they used local produce where available and provided a list of their suppliers. What a great way to support local industry.

Paulett Wines Bush DeVine Cafe offers a range of light lunches and share platters. It is an outdoor cafe on the deck which can be fully enclosed to accommodate all weather. Bookings highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
What a place to have lunch with such spectacular views across the country side. The food was wonderful with Ozzie bush herbs and sauces to give a wonderful flavour.Would go back and have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant to anyone.By the way, the wine is pretty good too.

A charming country hotel with spacious dining room. Good selection on the menu and daily specials. Good quality food with friendly service, local wines and credit card facility. Small carparking in front of hotel. Busy place on night we went so booked ahead. A delightful evening - enjoy
We did a search for good coffee in the Clare region and this came up.Oh well, why not. Well the good was excellent. Simple toasties with olive tapenade were excellent. My potato with slaw was tremendous. As for coffee, it was pretty good but not as strong as I would like but not disappointed at all.Well worth the visit and a fun place.

Traveling straight from Clare on Horrocks Highway we stumbled upon the Mocandunda Cellar Door and Restaurant. Appears simple but inviting with an ample parking lot in front. Food not sophisticated but tasty. Good wine. We did not do wine tasting in the adjacent winery due to lack of time but enjoyed visiting.

On our visit to Conners restaurant at the Clare Clountry Club, we had a disappointing night. We chose to stay at the Clare Country Club because it had a (well reviewed) restaurant, meaning we didn't have to travel eleswhere to eat. From the very start, our experience was disappointing. I asked at reception about making a restaurant booking and was told it was optional - certainly not told to make a booking to guarantee a table. Yes, you guessed, no booking, come back in an hour.We arrived later and were seated. (Being night, why are diners seated looking out into the darkness looking at the reflection of other diners in the window?) We were asked if we would like water, yes thanks. After waiting a further 20 minutes and being ignored, we finally got one of the two waiters' attention and asked if we could order some wine and to avoid further delays, our meals. The first wine we chose wasn't available. The second wine we chose, was also not available. Finally we agreed on something else that was available. After being there an hour, we finally received our meal. Overall, the food was not very good. Where was the sauce? The chef needs to take more notice of Manu (from My Kitchen Rules) - always serve a sauce with a meat dish. After we had finished our dinner, it was time to settle up. We received the bill but the waiter noticed that the wine had not been included. We got the amended bill - but it wasn't ours, it was someone else's bill. Anyway, finally we got our bill - at least I think it was ours. I just signed it just to get out of the place.Overall, this was not a pleasant dining experience. I have highlighted the difficulties we encountered in the hope these might be corrected to save further embarassment of staff and frustration of diners.I am most disappointed to learn of your recent dining experience in Conners Restaurant. We regularly receive high quality feedback for both the quality of our meals and the service we provide and I can only apologise that your experience did not meet those expectations. We certainly should be securing a reservation for our guests in the Restaurant on arrival to the hotel, and apologise that this wasn't done for you and therefore left you waiting for your dinner booking on what was obviously a very busy evening. I can also only apologise that there were delays in the service provided to you and a mix up with your account at the end of the evening. We will certainly provide your feedback to our team so that we can continue to improve on the quality of service and the produce we provide, and do hope that we may have the opportunity to welcome you back again to deliver on the standard that we pride ourselves on.

After a business related event we visited this winery restaurant - came highly recommended. Drive through winding hill roads was lovely and the setting of restaurant was superb. An old charm building with cottage style gardens sweeping around. Carpark large enough to accommodate. There are small rooms with indoor table setting - very elegant. Outside leads to a paved area with less formal style table settings for two and four people. Area under a large old olive tree would be perfect on a bright sunny day. Views to a garden of roses and irises and jasmine - beautiful fragrance when we were there. Extensive garden leading to views of the surrounding hills and vines. Superb setting - picture perfect. Food menu and wine selection is delightful. High quality food and service. I had an asparagus and jerusalem artichike soup with fresh and warm bread rolls followed by rhubarb crumble - warm and served with a luscious vanilla icecream - warm. Lovely chacuterie borad too for others - deep rose coloured rose and a chai latte completed out eating experience. The level of quality for a country region is exceptional - beautifully presented and cooked - tasted fresh and was filling. Beautiful to be immersed amongst the vines and garden. Highlt recommended. Enjoy.

Mr Mick is associated with Tim Adams wines so I was happy when I could choose from both Mr Mick and Tim Adams wines. I had Mr Mick rose with my tapas selection and the others one of the Mr Mick reislings. I bought a bottle of the 2016 Tim Adams shiraz to take home. The entrance to the venue is set up to impress and hte surrounding garden is delightful. On entering the restaurant you are greeted at a ecption area in the front room and that leads to a larger space - bright and airy with art on walls - several tables accommodating up to 6-8 people. The menu is tapas style and varied - seafood, meat and vegetables plus desserts. Everything was well prepared and cooked and a delight to eat. The chacuterie selection was a generous mix served with crisp lavash. A wonderful meal and experience. Highly recommended - we got there late morning and did not book ahead. Place got filled very soon after so in high season a booking would be recommended. Friendly service and charming setting. Enjoy
