Things to do in Caboolture
While not the most 'flash' restaurant around, the food was excellent. Our group of around a dozen, in combination with a local church group, just about filled the restaurant. Despite this, the service was fast, the food choices were quite wide and the plates were filled. The food prices were reasonable and all meals were home-cooked. A bit noisy with so many people in the room and the atmosphere was so-so. Parking was quite easy in the plaza carpark too.
Best value lunch in caboolture Simon from Ruby sun Chinese is running the restaurant and putting out a great selection of food. $7.50 a plate or $11.00 all you can eat. Totally recommend this place make sure you give it a try.
Checking out the new Drakes supermarket on Pumicestone Road, and happy to see Stellarossa has opened there. We each had a large mug of coffee which was a very good brew. Hot, not lukewarm as some. Hubby very happy with the temperature and taste.I was happy with the comfortable seats and happy waitress. There is seating outside as well and a coffee/cake special looked interesting. Will be going back to check the menu and arrange to have a mini business meeting there.

The quality of the food was fine, prices were reasonable, the meals were served nice and hot,the furniture in the eatery is very old and needs a revamp,we sat outside and people still lit up a cigarette near us instead of going to the designated smoking area.We visited twice in 2 weeks and the air conditioning was not working,on a warm day you just melt indoors which is why we sat outside. Will not go back anytime soon.

BRING BACK THE OLD MENU!! Very disappointing dining experience tonight, we used to dine here up to 20 times a year (dinners, birthdays, with business guests etc). We have not been here for a while, and tonight were advised that due to the 'new and improved menu' we can "no longer get a steak with veges included" as we did for many years. We now have to pay extra for 'Mediterranean veges - pumpkin, carrot, onion, capsicum and mushroom cooked in oil', or a 'pea, leak, mushroom and bacon combination cooked in oil' or 'cauliflower deep fried and smothered in a cheese sauce' - and these are no longer even included with a steak meal. What happened to the steak they used to serve with steamed broccoli/corn and baked potato? It was simple and delicious and we ordered it every single time. Our waitress advised they have had "nothing but complaints from customers about their new and improved menu"'. If a menu has been working for a long time, why change it?? We ordered the Mediterranean veges and they were very oily and such a small serve it did not even fill us, we left feeling hungry after spending more money than we usually would. We can and will go elsewhere for a decent steak that includes some green veges and all cooked healthily. It's obvious the staff morale is down here and the restaurant was very quiet in comparison to when we used to dine. They need to listen to their loyal customers (and staff who have to listen to all the feedback). It's a shame such a great steak house has felt the need to make all these changes to their menu - yet missing the point that people just want good food, cooked simply and with flavour whilst feeling like you are getting good value for money (as we always previously did). People who are training or into their health and fitness used to be able to dine here, knowing they could get a good steak and veges that supported their nutritional needs. It's also interesting that there used to be feedback forms on the tables and near the till when exiting, now there are none to be found...their loss.

We decided to have breakfast at Cafe da Cruz as we had heard that they were very good. While the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere good we waited 40 minutes for breakfast to be cooked with no coffee brought out. After a further 10 minutes we were still waiting and they had made mistakes bringing out incorrect coffees to others. We were still on the list to have our coffees made. They were happy to give our money back for the coffees. The breakfast was very nice though we wouldn't go back.Morning. Sorry to here that our wait time was too long and the team didnât get it right. To say the least we didnât have s great weekend in regards to customer service. On weekends we can have up to 30 meals at a time on order which will push wait times out considerably. The team should of informed you of the wait times when you ordered which obviously they did not. Coffees should definitely have come out earlier as we have higher capacity in making coffees quicker with our 2 head machine, I sincerely appoligise for your wait as we try hard to get our meals and coffees out in s reasonable time but obviously in this instant it defiantly didnât happen.

We came on today and were going to order breakfast and coffee. All we requested was that the egg yolks could be left out of the omelette due to kidney disease. However the Chef and manager refused so we walked out. Why is it the coffee club in Redcliffe do this for us but you canât?

Typical pub fare but the food arrived hot and was well above average. The staff were extra helpful and friendly and more than willing to substitute salad and chips for mash and veggies. There was no extra charge like some do and no fuss either. The venue was clean and comfortable.Had not been here in a while but will definitely go again. The food rated much higher than the nearest competition which is the RSL across the road. All meals are cooked fresh and not left to congeal in a pool of its own juices like some cheaper establishments.
