Went to Kurrajong for breakfast and initially went here for a coffee. The owner/proprietor would not serve us unless we were sitting down outside. He was absolutely obnoxious. He would not allow my husband to stand and wait for takeaway coffee. Then we waited at least 15 minutes for two coffees. Walked down the road to Kurrajong Kitchens and had a marvellous breakfast.

We are building locally and visit Feeding Frenze quite regularly. Staff are always warm & friendly and premises clean and tidy. They have a good variety of meals etc on offer, and the best cappuccinos. Lovely view all the way back to Sydney. In door/ out door seating choices. We definitely recommend Feeding Frenze Cafe.

This cafe has a friendly village-cafe atmosphere and friendly staff. Verandah seating for warm weather dining or seating inside, with a few sidewalk tables alongside the street. One excellent pumpkin spinach and feta quiche with side salad. One very tasty bacon lettuce and tomato on Turkish bread. One smallish milkshake and one iced coffee - both served in small glass jug. No water brought to the table. Fresh juices available. A selection of cakes available. This cafe is popular and gets very busy on weekends - service can be a bit slow at peak times.

We held our Daughters wedding here at the end of October and it was absolutely faultless. The food is restaurant class, the location perfection, the staff cannot do enough for you. We also had about 40 people staying on the property for the evening and for breakfast following day. Again perfection. Well done to the Loxley staff

Even if you don't intend to spend time at the botanic gardens (I recommend you do though...), you can enjoy a coffee, drink, lunch or breakfast at the Potager. The meal selection and prices are good and the staff are really efficient and friendly

Archibald Hotel is a vibrant go-to venue for the locals of the mountains and a rewarding day trip for city folk. The Archibald Hotel was named for Archibald Bell, who opened the way through to Mount Tomah, and provides Restaurant quality foods, peaceful l
Both my husband and I have passed this hotel several times on our days out exploring. We decided we would pull in for lunch. The food was incredible. We started with Salt and Pepper Calamari and finished with Beer Battered Fish. Both were the best we have had. We will be coming back and think this might be a favourite destination on our days off exploring.Thank you so much for the great review! Look forward to seeing you again

Hi all, today I took some visitors to the gardens, a place I have been to many times and absolutely love going to. We were to have lunch in the cafe and it was a real disappointment, we were told it had changed hands 3 months ago. The staff were lovely and doing their best but could not handle the amount of customers, over 30' to get a drink and after looking around at so many customers waiting, and waiting, we gave up on lunch and had it on the way home at Pie in The Sky.The staff said they didn't realise it was school holidays........? If the new owner can't manage to staff this fantastic place properly it will go bust very soon. I saw two people, the girl doing the front counter, waiting, AND trying to make drinks and one chap in the kitchen, not good enough. Next time I will be taking a picnic.

THE HIVE BERAMBING in our newly renovated 1950's built apple packing shed. great food, local produce and the best coffee in town
If you need that coffee fix on the road, the hive is the stop. They are also dog friendly which is a bonus because the botanical gardens nearby donât allow dogs in. The toasty sandwich is not the thing to order but the meat pie is. Most importantly, coffee was excellent.
Maggies has been open for a few months and is a great addition to eateries in the Bilpin area.Either informal eat in or takeaway, they specialise in a good range of gourmet burgers with optional sides. They also serve a small but tasty range of deserts/cakes and do a great coffee blend.Operated by the former proprietor of Bilpin Afire so they know how to prepare and present quality food.

Owners Nathan (Chef) and Tayla (Maitre D) have taken a new and exciting approach to this heritage cottage by providing memorable food and atmosphere. Lochiel House offers an Australian A La Carte menu with heavy Asian Influences. We are about have good fu
It has been 10 years since I last dined at Lochiel with a change of owners twice in that time. However, we found the new owners to be innovative with the menu, the choices enticing and the service and attention to the detail tops.We were ushered to the small front room with only four tables for two. The lighting and the fireplace was intimate and cosy. Although the rest of the restaurant was fully booked there was no sense of overcrowding or overpowering noise. We chose to share an entree of Pork and Shallot Pot Sticker Dumplings with Black Vinegar Dressing and Coriander, tangy and tasty and certainly enough for two of us to enjoy as a starter. For mains Crispy Skinned Duck Breast and Braised Pork Belly with a side of Fried Brussel Sprouts with Sweet and Sour Seasoning. All perfect, particularly the sprouts.Although totally satiated after mains, the Orange and Chocolate, Five Spice, Orange Icecream and Ginger appealed to my sweet tooth and my partner chose the Plum Meringue with Coconut and Chia Sorbet and Compressed Fruit. All scrumptious. We left feeling very mellow and particularly appreciated that we could bring one of our favourite Hunter Valley wines.
