We were treated like royalty! We'd only gone for dinner during our overnight visit to Benalla, but the service we received was above and beyond! We received a free drink with our meal, then were given complimentary garlic bread because of the time we waited for our meals to reach the table... we hadn't waited long at all! Honestly, they couldn't have been nicer and more pleasant to us travellers! And the meal was lovely too! Definitely recommend going here for dinner if you are in Benalla!

Breakfast in Benalla was a treat at this cafe where the staff were supper efficient and the food delicious. The staff went that extra mile by providing us with visitor information which enhanced our stay in this beautiful town. I cannot recommend this place too highly it is one of the best in the state if not the country.

It is great to see a new dining option has been offered in Benalla. Tonight we visited EllaGoose for the first time since its change of ownership and what a delightful experience. The food was well presented and beautifully cooked. The wine list offered many interesting choices and the service was attentive without being over-zealous. Seating is very comfortable and the ambience quite cosy. Thanks for a lovely evening. Weâll be back very soon. Thanks for your lovely review Peter, it was a pleasure to host you. See you again soon.

In a quiet little place that under normal circumstances you may not even stop at, we were privileged enough to be able to have a lovely and delicious meal.We were on the painted silo trail in Victoria and Goorambat has a silo that has been enhanced with such lovely artistry - worth the visit anyway. We had been told about the pub as a place to stay with the motorhome and so we did - and went inside for a drink and a meal.Everything was superb; the staff were wonderful; the beer was great but it was the food that was the real star. Spoke to one of the locals who had worked his way through the menu (and he looked as though he had enjoyed) - he just loved it all - as we did too.

Complete family gathering of Grand-Parents, Parents and Children totaling 13 in all.As you can imagine just getting all of the orders in was a nightmare but staff managed to co-ordinate all of the meals to arrive almost simultaneously. Not only that but adequate size servings cooked to everybody's satisfaction. Staff friendly helpful and efficient and appreciated the family occasion (and took our photos for us.)No doubt we will be returning.

Had a mixed grill pizza from here & were quite impressed. It was a bit more expensive than I would usually spend on a pizza but had great toppings. The steak fries were nice but not a huge serving size. We would definitely visit again on our next trip through.

Holidaying localy and this day travelling the Benalla silo art trail, we stopped of here for a late lunch only to be greeted with a menu detailing a broad selection of gluten free choices including an all day breakfast and with friendly staff obviously well familiar with Coeliac requirements. The beer battered fish (confidently explained as being battered with soda water in lieu of beer) was delightfulNot just a cafe, the produce and other products make this a great stop when in the area

Taking TripAdvisor recommendations we dined here during an overnight stay in Benalla on a business trip to Melbourne. Very popular and busy place - you do need to book in for dinner.WOW - white linen service, excellent menu, very good staff, friendly, comfortable surroundings, good wines and drinks, fair prices for the quality of everything. So happy were we with our meal and everything that night we booked in for dinner on our return journey to Sydney two days later, and were not disappointed - dining area was a little quieter on that Sunday night but that meant the staff had time to be even friendlier. Unhurried after another excellent meal we relaxed in front of one of the open fires and enjoyed mulled wine. Will definately be going back to the Northo next time in Benalla.
