Our first time here and wonât be the last. Atmosphere warm and inviting. Food presented beautifully and love how you can choose and match your main with sauce and vegetables of your choice. Staff very friendly and efficient. Good drinks selection. Music not invasive. Comfortable dining chairs. Bathrooms extremely clean too.

Our initial experience was fantastic. Attentive staff, food great and quick service for main. Unfortunately that is where the service ended. We finished our mains and our plates just sat there. Everyone else in the tavern left, and it was as though we were invisible. It appeared that the end of night clean up was taking place around us. We waited patiently for an offer of dessert but it did not come. Not a great end to the night. Hi there, thanks so much for leaving us a review; we appreciate all the feedback we receive. Sorry to hear that the service you received with us was disappointing - this does not reflect the customer experience we aim to provide. Our History. The White Hart Hotel, owned by Southern Brewing Co. was one of Albany's first local breweries until it shut down in 1906. In 1909 the building was demolished for construction of a new two-story building. The White Star Hotel opened in 1910. T
We spent two nights in Albany as part of a WA road trip. We dined at the White Star on both nights. A very relaxing atmosphere and excellent food. I had the fish of the day (groper) on both occasions. It was beautifully cooked and very tasty. We were a group of four and all agreed that this was a top place to eat.

" More than just a Steakhouse" Australian Steakhouse Open Lunch and Dinner Casual dining. Groups, families, business. Upstairs Function Room Strictly no BYO Gluten Friendly, vegetarian options
Arrived, great front of house, seated, ordered wine, didnât arrive, shortly after, people arrived seated next to us they ordered wine, arrived, asked why ours hadnât arrived, I will check, sorry computer glitch, wine served, people seated next to us ordered, meal arrived, queried why ours hadnât arrived, sorry, they ordered chicken, chicken cooks quicker than beef. Meal finally arrived, ordered another wine, again, why does it take so long sorry, takes time to read and bring, meal was really ordinary, salad, sauces and potato were all prepared, so it shouldnt take 60 minutes to cook a small average ordinary piece if steak, as lady seated next to us said, very ordinary food for very ordinary service but, itâs Albany, and thatâs what the diners of Albany are used to as the norm. Moral of the story, go to a steakhouse, order chicken, it cooks quicker...

The Six Degrees was near our lodging in Albany and we strolled by on Stirling St. several evenings. At first glance I thought it would be a noisy pub and not good for casual dining and conversation. Turned into a nice surprise. The crowd in the early evening was more boomer than hipster, the food was decent, the pub staff super friendly, and the music not earsplitting once inside. We enjoyed a nice pub meal with satay starters, nice hot pumpkin -bacon soup, fish and chips. Decent beer and wine by the glass. The barman kept a tab on our credit card so we didn't have to search for cash on every order. Not fine dining but decent pub food. Good job!

Lunch with a friendship group. Great venue, right on Stirling Tce, Albany, overlooking the water. I had a steak burger with the lot, good choice! Enjoyed it and the company. Service is good and food is fresh and delicious. Everyone enjoys Dylanâs! But their opening hours have changed a bit, so watch out for that, to avoid disappointment.

The fish & sweet potato wedges were fresh & well cooked, the coleslaw was crunchy. The grilled pink snapper at $21 a piece was (in my opinion) expensive. Drinks are available & water complimentary. The diner itself was clean & tidy with friendly, efficient staff. Limited mobility & wheelchair accessible.

Ocean and Paddock is the humble Aussie Fish and Chip shop re-imagined with this chefs version that is an Albany casual seafood restaurant. We have both take-awat and dine in options and are BYO with no corkage.
It was so good to see such community minded individuals working here. They found that we had participated in the recent climate strike speeches and in support gave us free meals! Such a genuine, approachable and caring place to go. The best place I have ever been!
