In Osaek area, there are many restaurants for tourists and hikers who come to see beautiful scenaries of Jujongol valley and Southern Sorak Mountain or enjoy Osaek Spa.This "Namsorak-shikdang" has been here for very long time and our family is old customer to this house since 30 years ago.They have almost all local(Kangwondo) dishes you can name on their menu. Whatever I ordered, Sanchae(wild vegetables) cuisine, Hwangtaeguk(Dried pollock soup), spicy mushroom stew, Sanchae Bibimbap, I mostly liked it.

CY+c ( 19.05.17 ) I visited this store for buying Sweet and Sour Chicken. This store was located in Yangyang traditional market, and had small space. There had not table, so take-out or parcel service. We bought this food for snacks on our trip. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was delicious and had good texture of food. If trip this area, this food was good for snacks.

They make the Memil(buck-wheat) guksu(noodle) with orginal buckwheat flour only.And they have their own know-how how to boiling the noodle.They use own source or Gimchi soup to make a bowl service with Gimchi soup or source only. Its called Dongchimi Guksu which is containing Gimchi soup or Bibim Guksu has source only with no soup.And the Makgully which is a kind of traditional Korean rice wine is good.The Bossam is made out of steamed pork meat with fresh Gimchi is also good.We go there more than once a week at least.
