We've eaten at the same style restaurant in north Winchester and in Front Royal VA and the Okinawa follows the same style where you are seated in a semi-circle around a grill. In our case (me, youngest son and his two kids) were seated with 2 other families with all the seats filled. As with the other restaurants, the cook comes out and does his little performance banging the utensils around, making an onion volcano and tossing pieces of chicken into open,m waiting mouths around the table(if you desired!). If you haven't been to one of these restaurants, it's pretty entertaining the first time. When serving the food, I was kind of surprised that the meat, rice and veggies were served at pretty much the same time - novel idea instead of serving the meat, then the rice and then the veggies pretty much separately! Prices are the same as the other restaurants I mentioned - maybe they're all owned by the same company? The service was pretty good at bringing out the soup and salad and drinks and as I mentioned, the food being pretty much served by the cook at the same time. I wouldn't make it a habit to go to these type places, but once in awhile is OK

Just exit route 81 at exit 315 North or south and 2 minutes down the road is a very good Chinese restaurant with lots of parking. My wife and I travel up and down route 81 and look forward to eating here. The family that runs it is warm, friendly and very nice. The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable. This trip we had wonton soaps, 2 combination dinners one was egg foo young the other was general tso's and we added lo mein instead of fried rice. Everything was very delicious with the right amount of spice and very fresh. This is a great place to eat.

The owner, Charlie, is there most of the time and he does the majority of the cooking. The food is fresh and he will prepare dishes especially for you. I often get the steamed shrimp with broccoli with no sauce. They are done to perfection. My daughter and granddaughter eat there often, my granddaughter loves the crab ragoon. The egg rolls are excellent.

My wife and I visited for Lunch on Saturday afternoon July 14th. We were promptly seated and given menus. We asked about the special oysters on the chalk board outside the front door and she informed us they were out of Oysters. The waitress came back a few minutes later and we ordered a couple Stone Pot Bi Bim Bob. We told the waitress we also wanted to order some sushi so please leave the sushi order form and a pen with us. She did and came back about five minutes later and we ordered three sushi items. About 20 minutes later we received the three sushi orders. We proceeded to eat the sushi expecting our Stone Pots to be served soon. After we finished the sushi and she cleared the table she came back and asked if we wanted anything else. We asked her about the Bi Bim Bob that we ordered. She proceeded to argue with us that we never ordered any Stone Pots. My wife and I both knew what we ordered and it was shocking that she argued. She seemed to us to be a little spaced out. We told her to forget it and left. The only reason I gave it two stars is the Sushi was good. We were also surprised that the chalk board menu hadn't been updated for a Special that they no longer had available. It still hadn't been updated when we left. We probably won't be back.

My wife and I ordered take out. It was ready when I got there and was hot and fresh. We both order fried rice with chicken. One was Thai style and one regular. Both were wonderful. Restaurant looked very busy when I arrived to pick up food.

Have had take out from Chinatown many times and wanted to try their lunch buffet. We arrived about 11:30 with only 3 other tables seated. The buffet was very well loaded with many of choices. Wait staff offered us soup which is included with buffet price. Food was excellent and within 20 minutes of being there the whole restaurant had every table filled with customers a good sign that this is the place to eat.

We ate dinner here in November 2018. The pad thai and coconut soup were wonderful. We've eaten a lot of thai food in many places over the years and this place was right up there with some of the best. Good quality thai food here and decent prices. I could go with a little cozier decor and building, but I think they are doing well with the place and location that they have.

Pros Food is amazingHelpful staff if you ask for recommendationsPrices are very reasonableConsNo nearby parkingBooth benches are a little wornMy wife and I stop in Winchester from time to time. They have a lovely downtown walking mall with lots of great looking restaurants and shops. One of the most recommended on Tripadvisor is Thai Winchester. The reviews are not wrong. The service is great. The prices are VERY reasonable. The portion sizes are large. If you like Thai, or have ever even thought about trying it this is a great place to start. We have eaten at Thai places all over and this is one of the best. The foodDrunken Noodle: I canât explain what this tastes like other than itâs sweet and spicy and delicious. The noodles are wider than anything you may have experienced before, especially in Asian Cooking. The chicken can be a little dry, but the flavors overall blend beautifully. I would recommend this dish be ordered with the Shrimp, or Veggies only. I think it will blend together better that way. Roasted Duck Soup: this comes with a HUGE bowl of the most amazing broth you have ever tasted. The richness and layers of flavor are pretty amazing. The duck slices are well cooked and add a nice textural element to the dish. The noodles push it over the top into a wonderful meal. Massaman Curry: get a side order of rice with this one, it comes with some but there is so much you really need the rice or you will be drinking it like soup. The flavors are amazingly balanced you can taste a hint of the peanuts in there but the flavor is so balanced you just get this wonderful, happy comfortable feeling as you eat it. Pad Thai: Itâs Pad Thai, it taste like good Pad Thai from anywhere. The portion size is large which really helps. Here again I will be trying the shrimp next time, but the chicken is OK. The tiny bits of roast pork they mix in are a really nice touch. Kra Pow Gai Sub with extra crispy basil: Get this, the depth of flavor out of this dish is amazing. You take your first bite and it seems like you just ordered chicken and broccoli from your local Chinese place. Then the heat bites you. Then the sweet hits. Then you realize this is so much more than just ground chicken in sauce. Try it. You wonât be disappointed.
