Rockland County has many sushi restaurants, After having visited most of them I can attest that World Sushi has the best tasting sushi. It is a small location and the service is not great being that it used to be a takeout only restaurant, they haven't quite mastered the service portion of their business; however if what you are looking for is the best tasting sushi with original fusion creations then this is the place to go. I'm a bit of a sushi fanatic and I have friends that will travel from Manhattan where there are a thousand sushi restaurants just to eat at World Sushi.

Our neighbors took us here for our first sushi experience many years ago. We've been going regularly since and haven't found any place to match the sushi anywhere. We've had their special rolls but stick with the spider roll, super dragon rolls and eel rolls . Those are our favorite. Normally we take out but sometimes we stay. Lunch is a great deal and i recommend if you are on a budget.

Khan's has been around for a long time (about 30 years, I think), so they must be doing something right. The owners are lovely people, and they work very hard to maintain their successful business. There is a full bar, so you can have a drink or a Tsingtao Chinese. beer. The menu doesn't change, so you know exactly what you are getting every time, and the price is incredibly reasonable (I think it is around $20 per person now). You start with a plate of cold shrimp cocktail (and they are well prepared shrimp), some very tasty dim sum (pork filling, I believe) and a simple chopped lettuce salad with a vinegary peanut dressing. This is followed by your choice of soup (wonton, hot & sour, eggdrop). After the soup has finished, you then go to the prep area where you can choose from a large assortment of meats (chicken, lamb, beef), seafood, noodles (lo mein and mai fun) and vegetables (broccoli, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, baby corn etc). There are sauces you can use if you want to doctor your own food, or you can choose a sauce when you step up to the Mongolian grill to have your food cooked for you. I've never tried it, but I think you could have your food prepared with the bare minimum of additives to save calories. They serve white rice and some delicious sesame bread which I find very unique. After dinner, you have your choice of fresh fruit - melon - and they also serve you your choice of ice cream (creamsicle, coconut, chocolate, vanilla) and of course, fortune cookies. All a tremendous bargain for $20!

Great service with a smile. The Hibachi was a lot of fun. The cook did a wonderful presentation. They did a nice job with the birthday celebration made her feel very special. The food was great. Most of us had the steak and scallops.

I was here for lunch with my daughter. I don't eat Sushi, but I did have the Sweet Potato Roll that was so good. The Sushi is on a conveyor belt-which my daughter gets such a kick out of. I had Miso Soup that is one of the best I have had. I also had Goyza. My daughter had a California Roll, Eel Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll and Dango (sweet rice desert). It can become a little expensive if you don't watch how many items you take off the conveyor belt. But all in all it is a great place to eat.
Some friends of mine went when they first opened and they raved about it. Happy to say they were right! Very informal spot. The menu is Asian fusion. A bit of Thai, Korean, Indonesian, Malaysian (maybe Filipino as well). We tried the Nasi Goreng with shrimp, which is Indonesian style fried rice with a fried egg on top. The shrimp were very fresh tasting and cooked perfectly (not rubbery and overdone). Delicious! We also tried Panang Beef, one of the Thai curries. Also delicious! No alcohol is served, but they had delicious Thai tea and coconut milk (you get the whole coconut, served with a spoon to eat the coconut meat after drinking the milk). Unless you are a fan of super spicy, I would recommend ordering your food mild. It still has some kick to it! Service was efficient and friendly. The prices are super, super reasonable. The kitchen is small, and I think they are in the process of figuring out how to handle the overwhelming demand that has occurred since they opened for business. I can't wait to return!
