We visited this fairly new place for lunch last week. Although it is a small place with limited menu and drink choices, we were very pleased. A single waitress did a pretty good job of serving all the tables, which were all occupied by the time we left. We ordered chicken pad Thai and sweet and sour pork, both were delicious and fresh. Most local Thai restaurants offer a buffet for lunch, so it was nice to order off the menu. We will visit again!

Great sweet and sour chicken but the chow mein and fried rice left something to be desired! The wait staff were very nice!

The food portions are really substantial and while prices have crept up a little, its still a bargain. Some of the food is Americanized Chinese and frankly won't be "deep fried" enough if your idea of great Chinese is what is passed off in many restaurants. Their pork fried rice is awesome, not because it has frozen peas and carrots in it (it doesn't--that's gross) because its what fried rice should taste like. It is obvious many things are made in house including the BBQ pork, their soups and many other items by cooks trained in Chinese cuisine. Yes, there are actual fresh vegetables in their dishes. If you know how to actually order Chinese food vs. asking for a #6, you will be pleased. If you are used to a plate of deep fried everything, it may not make you happy. The ambience of the place is straight from the 1970s and can be depressing. It is clean, but its definitely ancient. Also, when its less busy, it can be awkwardly quiet, no background music, no other sounds, except the occasional conversation in Chinese between the front of house and back of house. Those perceiving "yelling" may not realize that Chinese is spoken based on intonation so what might be thought to be yelling, is quite normal. And yes, actual Chinese people are working there so cultural differences on display and sometimes Chinese people can be quite brusque which some might interpret as rude. But so can Americans, Mexicans and people of all backgrounds. Honestly, if you know what to order, you will get the best authentic Chinese food you can get in Yakima. If you think Safeway or Panda Express are great authentic Chinese, I suggest you stick to eating there. Service is always fast.

Husband and I had a decent meal here. Basic pleasant decor and friendly attentive service on a slow night added to the experience. Food was good, nothing outstanding but fine for two hungry travelers on a hot night. Began with fresh spring rolls which had steamed shrimp and chicken, though I would have preferred more veggies and herbs. Husband enjoyed his chicken larb and my Kee Mao noodles, a plate of beige food, tasted better than they looked. Large portions neither of us could finish.

Don't let the outside appearance of this place fool you. This place has some of the best Asian food in Yakima. The teriyaki and Yaki Soba are really, really good. At first the prices might seem a tad high, but when you see the size of the meals the price becomes a real bargain. I would suggest you order one plate for two people and you will still have food left over. Everything on their menu, including burgers and other type sandwiches are very good. Be prepared - they can be very busy because of how good they are.
Everyone here seems to be really nice to one another. Maybe we just walked in on family night, but I suspect not. Open floor plan, a little crowded for tables. Not every empty table is clean at every moment. None of this is a problem because you're here for two things: the people and the pho. First, the food. Don't get me wrong, you can eat just the spring rolls as a meal. It's a ton of food. But I love pho and this place has great soup. I couldn't eat it all, of course. The bahn mi sandwiches are good. Talk about comfort food. Then, the people. This is a family-owned restaurant with little kids. If adorable little munchkins running around bothers you, get something to go. If you're down with families eating with families on a cold winter night like last night when I was there, this is the place for you. Criticism: If you've ever played DnD, you know that you have a certain number of rolls to create a character. You can choose points for charisma, strength, dexterity, and things like lock picking or animal taming skills. This place used all of it's points for good food and family friendliness. Don't go here looking for fancy tables, cloth napkins, or uncluttered spotlessness. But do go here.

Excellent for food and service. It's a small place but the owner/operator was super nice. The combo plate was generous and my husband's sashimi order was fresh and tasty. We had a good time chatting with the sushi chef and he even comp us a dessert. We noticed lots of take-out orders also.
