Reviews on Asian food in Trang Province, Thailand. Trang (Thai: ตรัง, pronounced [trāŋ]), also called Mueang Thap Thiang, is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, on the west side of the Malay Peninsula facing the Strait of Malacca. Neighboring provinces are (from north clockwise) Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, and Satun.

I wonder were all the good reviews come from! We visited Boo. Chu two nights ago as their menu looked interesting and had lots on offer, plus the good TA reviews. To start, half of the items on the menu were not available which was quite disappointing as we wanted to try a variety of seafood dishes (none was available). Anyway, we had the seafood soup which basically had two small prawns, broth and two-three thin pieces of carrot. The soup tasted OK but was in need of more spices so I had to ask for chilli and sauces. They had run out of sauces (no surprise here) and only had a chilli. We also ordered the stir fried morning glory and a cold seafood glass noodle salad. The morning glory was very dry and was in desperate need of some sauce; the same applies to the salad (which only had two small prawns âagain no surprise here)which had no sauce, making it difficult to eat it. The portions were extremely small âthink of tapas/meze size, so after finishing we were still very hungry and ordered a portion of spring rolls. Unfortunately the spring rolls did not taste right and were very oily. To sum up, the food here is not good at all and the portions are extremely small. I would not recommend it.

I had heard a lot about the Mook Lamar resort and seen the flyers for the school attached to its restaurant.Although the food was fine and the location in the middle of the island not that romantic,it really should have been a lot better. The food was fine by local standards but not what you would expect from a culinary reputed school. Also left asap as midgets+mosquitos were everywhere and nothing being done to fumigate.Good but not great.

Extensive menu. Good burger and beer. Coffee and other drinks were not bad. Free Wi-Fi. Reasonable price. Quiet and nice ambiance. A perfect place to spend an afternoon browsing the internet or catching up with friends.

After trying the delicious Trang roast pork in the market we decided to try this restaurant today. We started with the fritters served with a pandas paste-delicious. We then had a nice mixture of porky dim sum treets and some spring rolls and roast pork. The pork was nice but not a s rich and tasty as that sold in Trang market. Dim sum was tasty. I followed it with a bowel of fish rice soup which was a bit bland. Excellent service. Bill was 375 baht including drinks for two people.

About 100 meters from the pier, you will find the Yummy Restaurant and Bar. It's open air, nice breezes in the afternoon heat. I have eaten dinner and had beers here, plus watched as they make Thai pancakes/crepes out front. Nice folks, this is a family run business.
First time I come here I saw to many people! I don't know why they come until I try Masaman chicken and BBQ seafood it's very good taste and I like when staff smile (every times) thank you for take care my dinner.

The restaurant (family owned) is located outside the center of the village, but it is (probably) the best on the island. The staff is super nice and the food is great - among others: red snapper fish in garlic-pepper sauce, shrimps in tempura, classical Pad Gaoprao or chicken in cashew nuts (gai pad med mamuang himapan). Delicious mango sticky rice and banana in coconut milk! It's really worth going there!

Welcome to our Hilltop Restaurant. We serve Thai, European, vegetarian, organic vegetable and also vegan food. We are open from 9 am to 10 pm all year. We use local products for our food. We hope to see you! :)
As other people have mentioned, you are probably in for a long wait. We ate here twice in three nights and the food was fantastic. Huge portions and excellent flavours. The first night our food took about 90 minutes to arrive. The second time we got there at about 6.30pm and the wait was much less.Be prepared or chill relax and watch the action. The waiter tries his best, but often guests just go up to the fridges and get their own drinks, just leaving the empties on the table. A little boy on roller blades was delivering the drinks on the our second visit and he was really cute. There is also a really bossy cat that scares away any local dogs and does rounds of the tables. All tables are outdoors, but no mosquitoes or flies.Just sit back and enjoy.

We stayed on Koh Mook for 5 nights and after our second day decided that this was the SPOT. We went every day from that point forward. Smoothies and drinks are on point. Service couldnât be better. Food is solid across the board. Didnât order a dish we didnât like.
