We waited for about 20 minutes in the waiting list. It was completely worth it. Super fresh seafood, everyhing we tried was delicious. It was crab season, and it was outstanding. Prices are not cheap but are fair. Even the cheapest sake was delicious. Highly recommended

Orizuru in Kinosaki onsen adds to an already delightful tourist location that does not rely solely on the 7 public baths, but also a fabulous sushi restaurant! The chef owner and his son run a relaxed but meticulously organised ship, and the fish is divinely fresh. We ordered a selection of sashimi, 2 signature platters of sushi, a side dish of tempura, and then followed the gregarious locals in ordering a dish of flamed oysters with a squirt of lemon. The quality of all the local fish was excellent and the knife skills of the chef top class, we were also treated to the local tajima beef nigiri which melted in the mouth as expected. To be honest if we had time i would have spent the day there and we were treated like regulars from the beginning, i could not recommend it more highly.
Finding an (affordable and open) restaurant in Kinosaki Onsen is not easy. We found this one near Creezan, and are very satisfied. The menu is clearly influenced by Korea. We had bbq (which means you fry vegetables and meat (we chose marmered sirloin and pork ribs) on a grill built in your table (also warm feeling on a rainy night), combined with cabbage salad and Chinese noodles. With 2 beers and 1 sake we spent 5500 yen for 2 persons.
中華料理の店ですけど、メニューが豊富でちょっと意外。餃子、タコのあげもの、特に海鮮五目ラーメンさっぱりして美味しかったです。
Very welcoming, and high quality asian food and service in this little Izakaya pub in Toyooka. Definitely worth a visit (or many). Locals who go there are friendly and interested in foreign visitors too.Maurice & Mary from Australia
