Ordered a takeaway for the first time at 7.30 Saturday night. It arrived by 8pm piping hot and absolutely huge. Could have fed the neighbours too! Two mains a rice and some noodles and two of us couldn't finish it. Free prawn crackers came too. Tasty hot and quick.£3 delivery charge and we are way out of Watton. Will definately order again, but less dishes although I don't think we ordered that much really.

We visited this restaurant whilst spending a weekend in Thetford. We did not know the area but from the outside it looked inviting so we took a chance. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and efficient and the menu very good. We chose a Korai and a Rezella and both were very good. Clean comfortable and unrushed it was a very enjoyable experience.

"The best Chinese Restaurant in Thetford" serving freshly cooked authentic cuisine, and happy to tailor dishes to meet your specific tastes
Ate here whilst visiting Mum for the weekend. Small restaurant which was full throughout the entire evening. Food was great - in particular some lovely vegetarian choices for my wife. Tofu pepper was excellent for her, as were the spicy aubergines (this is a dry dish though which surprised us. In the past, at other restaurants there has been sauce with this dish.) As others have already commented, the seafood was excellent... as was the sizzling chicken with green peppers in black bean sauce. Service was attentive & friendly but they were clearly struggling with the number of covers and it was a little slow- not that we were in a particular hurry. Slightly disappointed with the carafe of house wine - served in an old glass jug! Didnât look great... And no tea to end the meal... Claimed to have run out?!?! However, still a lovely meal and we will definitely go back again.

It is in the centre of an enormous estate of 'executive' housing. But once inside it is modern 'Raj' and very comfortable. The service is friendly and discreet and the menu choice extensive. Toilets are clean and well kept. Well worth a repeat visit. The staff are Bangladeshi, but the range of food is mainly southern Indian.

This restaurant delivers what it advertises - acceptable Chinese cuisine that is nothing out of the ordinary but meets requirements. Service is fine and the value is good.

We had lovely meal at the New Saffron. We didn't have a starter only popadoms and dips. The dips were much the same and could have been improved with either a spicy sauce or salsa. The main course was delicious. I opted for a curry with chicken on the bone. It was very tasty and well spiced. The staff were friendly and provided an excellent service. The restaurant is small but the flavours pack a punch!
