I am in Englewood on business about every quarter, and while I like the diner foods you can readily find here, there is only so much gravy a man can eat. So I checked google maps for some other options near where I stay and spotted Akai Lounge on the map. Checked the ratings, looked good, and reviews on Trip Adviser were most all positive so I gave it a shot. First thing you need to know about going to Akai, parking is a pain. You need to have a pocket of quarters if you park on the street. But now for a little inside baseball, there is a parking lot in the back with a machine that takes dollar bills and you only need to feed the machine if you are there BEFORE 6:00 PM. After six, free! So I get there for a happy hour sushi fix, only needed to pay for 30 minutes of parking and was free and clear from there. I sat at the bar (not the sushi bar) and ordered a salad (which was great, light and refreshing) then had the shrimp tempura (which was also great except for the tempura broccoli. I was not a fan of that at all). And then for the final course I has six pieces of salmon sashimi. Did I not want more, oh yes, I did. However, at almost $4 per piece it added up quick. Anyway, Akai is a little on the high side when it comes to food prices, but the service was good as was the food I got.

They make tofu-based chicken, beef, fish dishes, all well-made. Good noodle and soup dishes. Well-priced. A local watering-hole, often crowded.

Great Japanese food in Dumont NJ. One of our regulars
Weâve being go eating at Well-Being Sushi since it opened and have reviewed the excellent food and friendly service many times. In fact, Well-Being Sushi and its owner/sushi chef have become friends and it is our favorite neighborhood restaurant where we dine weekly. However, I have never commented on its unusual name: âWell-Beingâ Sushi. Recently, I read a book about âhyggeâ the Danish (but actually Norwegian) word used to describe Scandinavian feelings of happiness, contentness, embrace, and comfort. In other words: âWell-Being.âAnd hygge is how I feel about going to, dining at, and leaving Well-Being Sushi. Everything fits together, the food is excellent particularly for the very reasonable prices, service is attentive, and we always leave happy!

Stopped in for lunch and they were closing so I went back a few days later.. Sushi was average. Nothing outstanding.. Was really disappointed.. Service is ok.. But sushi wasn't really fresh. Would not go back.. Umeya is way better.. totally about 20 notches up from here...

Four of us had a great dinner here. Thought the sushi was authentic and tasted great. Service was good. Expensive but worth it.
We had their specialty Baek-ban. Rice, soup with different side dishes. Overall it was ok. Nothing special. My friend had something else but couldn't even remember what he had. Just average Korean food restaurant.

I live in Tenafly and have been eating at Mr Wok for years. We have always found the food to our liking. In addition, service is very nice and since I have Celiac Disease (controlled completely by a Gluten Free diet, I very much appreciate that many dishes can be prepared Gluten Free.

We have lived in Bergenfield for over two years now, and have simply exhausted options for Chinese food. For a while, we were hooked on Chinatown Kitchen in Teaneck across from Peck Peck, but it was taking longer and longer for deliveries, and we quietly starting looking elsewhere.Enter i-Fish.Taking up residence in the Friendly's building in Tenafly, they are simply the bomb.Eddie and Karen are lovely owners, and they stand by their kitchen. We have tried everything on the menu and there are no hiccups anywhere.Lo Mein, Casseroles, Appies, those ridiculous Shrimp with Walnut Sauce (oh god), dim sum, specialities, you just can't go wrong.Oddly, we haven't had a chance to visit the restaurant -- we have only done once or twice weekly deliveries - and if I can tell you their delivered food is hot, fast, and fabulous, believe me.I almost hesitated writing a review, because that usually means an uptick in business, but these people deserve to be noticed, visited, and loved.Go.

Have the Pho - everyone does. Noodle dishes a specialty. Noisy and crowded, not expensive. What's not to like?
