A stylish bar restaurant serving authentic thai cuisine fine wines and asian beers, including the world famous singha beer on draft. Situated 50 yards down the road is our take away where we offer a take away/delivery service.
Firstly the food was excellent we only got two course so can't comment on desert. The ribs starter was lovely and tasty as was the chicken. The mains was all very good and the rice dishes especially the coconut rice never had before but was really good. The only thing was one of the dishes was hot with chillies had we know our friend would have either asked them to tame it down or ordered something else. What was a let down was the customer service. We had booked a table for 8.30 for 4 when we got there we were informed that there was no table available but one would be coming free. So as there is nowhere to sit and have a drink while you wait we went next door to the craft ale and left my tel number. about 15 mins later we was rung and we returned. We ordered our meals and ate our two courses finishing around 10-10.15 plates cleared and sat waiting for desert menu when it didn't appear we asked to see it and was told sorry kitchen had closed and staff had left but they could do some ice cream. This vexed us a little as we had been waiting a little while and no-one had had the decency to ask if we would like desert or tell us that the kitchen was closing which would have been courteous thing to do, before actually closing the kitchen when you have paying customers still eating. We then got the bill and found we had been over charged for two soft drinks (a good customer gesture would have been to have credited us the first round of drinks as good will for us having to wait for our table) which when we pointed it out they eventually admitted they were wrong but got a little shirty with us as though it was our fault for pointing out their mistake. We are not people who gets pissy with staff when things go wrong as we know that things go wrong and they have a difficult time but likewise we don't expect when quite rightly we point things out that they don't get pissy with us.On the way out I spoke to who I believed was the front of house and said it was disappointing that the kitchen had been allowed to close before we had finished our meal and it would have been nice for someone to come and ask if we wanted desert, I appreciated that we was late getting into the restaurant but that again wasn't our doing we had booked a table that wasn't available which pushed our meal time on by 1/2 hour. To be met with a couldn't careless tone I'll pass it on.Wont rush back in a hurry which is a shame as food is very good, I appreciate venues have off days but reading some of the reviews issues around customer service seems to be a common issue here.

Service was prompt and we were seated to a table of six. Food a bit spicy but from the faces of other tables and...our table were smiling and enjoying. No small bowls were kept for the dessert so had to look and ask around. Good staple Indian dishes nothing spectacular.

Kamran Balti House is a restaurant and takeaway located on Union Street in Halifax. Indian and fast food dishes are available. Kamran Balti House has been serving Indian food for nearly 25 years now, and has become well established and a must go for the s
Called in this evening and asked for a veg curry and mushroom rice. The rice was taken away twice as the mushroom were not fresh..meanwhile my curry sat untouched, The third rice came with slimy rubber mushrooms, yest again in the dish. I told the staff I would not be touching any of this food as the vegetables are not fresh. Now the best is yet to come, when I was confronted at the paydesk by three men, who said they don't use FRESH vegetables, but buy in partly cooked ones and the same with their meats and chicken !!!!! They said no one cooks with fresh vegetables, it would take too long. I have never heard anything so ridiculous as this in my life.Thank goodness my husband left his chicken balti..I suppose with most of the clientele coming in late after a good drinking session are not too bothered with what they eat..if they only knew. This place should be closed down. And as for the manager who said he had a bad back..well if that;s what you want to try and pass off to some idiots who believe your LIES then do so, but we saw you bounce off the cars outside and hold onto the white car as we followed you in to the so called restaurant. seems you like telling lies!!!!. Oh and yet another dodge for not paying taxes with the money they take, because they only take cash and not till receipt with the vat number given. So not only are they liars , but thieves .

went on a Saturday early evening and found that they had an early bird on which was fantastic value at £9.95 for a starter and main/sundry and the menu was extensive. the food portions were large and very tasty the 4 different dishes we had all tasted different and they asked how you wanted it spiced which came spot on, the service was fabulous and the rose wine was only £9.95 a bottle so for 4 of us with beer/wine came to under £90 with a few extras and a tip...

Thai food, freshly cook by the owner, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan. Fully license, soft drink, beers, spirit.
We ate here tonight and felt we had to write a review about how good this restaurant is. At 6.45pm we were the only people in the restaurant but within 45mins it was full to bursting. The service was a little slow (think this was because of a large party who arrived just after us) but the food was so good we didnât mind waiting. We had 2 x starters, mains and drinks for just under £30. We both ate vegetarian meals and there was lots of choice. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and perfectly flavoured. We cannot fault our meal here and would highly recommend visiting.Hi, Thanks for taken your time to wrote the review. As we (me and my son) had only one booking for 9 people tonight. Also it is Tuesday usually quiet night. We did the best we can, you ordered sticky rice (glutinous rice) as we cook it when the customer place the order then it takes time as I inform you that we were waiting for sticky rice to cook. I am pleased that you both enjoyed and we are looking forward to see you again in very soon future. Ps, We do not use MSG in our food. Thanks. Pajaree Newlove

This is our favourite restaurant in the area. We love the ambience and excellent friendly service. We had chicken tikka starter which was the best ever. The afghani murgh was delicious and had such an awesome depth of flavour. Loved the naan bread.

A delicious meal in Sowerby Bridge for six of us at Village Indian restaurant tonight. Authentic food freshly prepared in comfortable surroundings. Staff most helpful. Started with poppadum and pickling tray. Really enjoyed the lamb tikka saag Balti with pilau rice and saag aloo. Brought our own Indian beer to compliment the meal.
