Silk has a little bit of everything. Breakfasts, traditional hearty sandwiches, comfort food, excellent Thai dishes, and desserts. Everything is made to order and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable, so you can eat there without a pain in the pocketbook. On my first visit I had the Gobbler, which is basically Thanksgiving in a sandwich. I have also had breakfast and a lunch of spicy chicken basil. Can´t wait to go back!

If you want a great meal, especially before heading south on Amtrak's Vermonter to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Washington, DC, then the Bombay Royale is an excellent choice.My wife and I, who now live in southwestern New Hampshire, had planned a day trip on a weekday to Northampton, starting with a good Indian buffet. We found such a place at this restaurant. We arrived a few minutes after it opened (Noon), and a line for the buffet had already formed. There were plenty of meat (such as chicken and goat) and vegetable (such as spinach paneer, string beans, eggplant) dishes. We also took the raita and the two desserts (carrot and kheer). The Indian tomato soup was delicious and not too spicy. We also ordered mango lassis, which were very tasty. The service was good, and the decor satisfactory.Because the food at the restaurant is so much better than standard train fare, rail travelers could get carry out and take it with them to the station, which is only one half mile away.

Certainly as advertised. If you are addicted to red meat you may want to look elsewhere as fish, seafood and vegetarian dishes make up the menu. Service was friendly - without being intrusive - and very knowledgeable. The menu is complimented by a very reasonable wine list. Still in business after more than two decades, Paul & Elizabeth's must be doing something right.

From two more or less unverifiable sources on the internet there are some 40,000 Chinese Restaurants in the United States. That number sounds roughly accurate, and if so, I would estimate some 90% of them have a menu that looks almost the same. Clearly, a far cry from what you might find in any authentic Chinatown, but something that has become a staple of American society.From the bare bones decor, Zodiac paper place mats, generic soy sauce dispenser, sparsely populated aquarium, very inexpensive luncheon specials. mass market fortune cookies and inexpensive tin ware you could easily be in another similar place a few miles down the street or a thousand miles away in another nearly anonymous shopping center. But that is not meant to disparage the large helpings of reasonably well prepared food, friendly greeting and fair value at Golden Peacock. Long before "fast food" inundated our American landscapes, there always seemed to be a Chinese restaurant that stayed open nearly every day and gave us a break from our everyday fare without seriously denting the bank account.True, I get a little queasy when there are no similar ethnic customers, the outside door and mat haven't been cleaned in a long time and the ambiance is plain and forlorn. Still, the pork fried rice was tasty, the luncheon specials were piled high and on a hot summer day large glasses of ice water replaced the traditional teapot.The dinner menu looks more ambitious, and there is a small bar for libations. While I would not go out of my way to come back soon, the overall impression is of a competent and reliable source for Chinese-American food.

I eat here usually two to three times a month, i have found that I love the "Hot and Sour Soup" and the Scheswan Chicken with Chinese Vegetables. It's to the point now that I have to have this at least once a week.There food is very good. Everyone I bring with me daughters and grand daughter all love the food here.The Hot and Sour Soup is a clear broth with tofo,mushrooms,ginger and egg its great.If you want some good Chinese Do yourself a favor and stop in, but not on Mondays there closed.

Stopped at little sushi restaurant in downtown Easthampton. Was very surprised at how big the menu was. They have a lot more than just sushi..Went with the lunch special which was 2 rolls Avocado and Spicy Tuna. Both of these basic rolls were excellent. It was pretty obvious that the restaurants uses only the freshest ingredients. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant

Coco is very small. Make reservations if you can. The menu changes regularly with the seasons and many ingredients are locally sourced. The cuisine is eclectic and unusual. The chef has a great sense of what flavors will go well together. Very enjoyable meal. Our only complaint was that it was noisy (small room with wood floors, brick walls).

Food consistently good and service friendly. I consider this Chinese-American because they offer Pu-pu platter-type appetizers such as Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Wings and Chicken Fingers. Tasty for what they are, just not authentic. You need to go to Amherst to find Authentic Chinese Food in Western Mass.Our favorite dishes at West Lake are Sesame Chicken and Beef with Snow Peas. Fried Tofu with Mixed Veggies is good too if you are willing to try tofu.
